Favorite General Hospital Characters Who Have Taken A Bad Turn

General Hospital: Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) General Hospital fans all have characters we love. We also have those that we love to hate.

There are usually clear heroes and villains in soaps. Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) are characters we never root for. But Laura Collins (Genie Francis), Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) are definitely good guys.

Sometimes a resident of Port Charles will begin as evil but eventually redeem themselves. Both Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and her mom Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) are perfect examples.

Some may start out as the hero but take a turn for the worse as their storylines progress. General Hospital has recently featured a few characters like this.

Nina Reeves went from bad to good to bad again on General Hospital

Nina Reeves (Cynthis Watros) kidnapped a pregnant Ava Jerome (Maura West), temporarily paralyzed her, induced labor, and stole her baby. Maybe not the best start on General Hospital but she spent time in a psychiatric facility and tried to rebuild her life in Port Charles.

Nina became a hero when she fell in love with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and became a mother figure to his daughter Charlotte. The Crimson editor became a sympathetic character when Valentin paid Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattson) to pretend to be Nina’s long-lost daughter. The fake mother and daughter formed a bond that still remains.

Nina took a wrong turn when she found a supposedly dead Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in Nixon Falls and kept the information to herself. Falling in love with him didn’t help matters either.

Ms. Reeves may have gotten the guy but she made lethal enemies of Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Most residents of Port Charles and fans are against her. To make matters worse, she has turned Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) over to the SEC. When the truth comes out, she just may lose everything.

What happened to Michael Corinthos on General Hospital?

Michael Corinthos was a GH superstar from the moment he was born. Everyone wanted to be Baby Michael’s dad. Tony Jones (Brad Maule), Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan), and Sonny Corinthos all loved Carly’s little boy.

He is the biological son of AJ and the adopted son of Sonny, which makes him both a Quartermaine and a Corinthos.

Michael has gone through a lot in his life. The poor guy was kidnapped, put in prison, and raped. Not to mention that every woman he fell in love with ended up dying, and so did his brother.

We all cheered when he fell in love with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). He deserved love and they seemed very happy.

No one could blame Michael for being upset with Nina and Sonny. She did keep his father from his family for months and let them believe he was dead. He was protective of his mom when Sonny left her which is understandable.

Michael lost fans when he set out to destroy the man who raised and loved him. His vendetta against Sonny seemed a little extreme. Carly handled the divorce much better than her son, who decided he needed to take down his dad.

To make matters worse, he involved Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), and just when Dex got the evidence he needed against Sonny, Michael backed out. So now he puts Josslyn Jax’s (Eden McCoy) new boyfriend’s life in danger.

Michael has acted selfish, spoiled and not like the young Michael we all adored.

Curtis Ashford is taking a turn for the worse

Everyone loved Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). He was always willing to help everyone, could take down bad guys, and he’s not too hard on the eyes.

His love story with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) was epic. It took them a while, but the couple was finally married and looked like they were headed towards happily ever after. That was until Jordan kept the truth from her husband one too many times and he couldn’t forgive her.

Curtis moved on quickly with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Although she was warned, Portia made the same mistake as Jordan and lied to her soon-to-be husband. This time, it turns out he may be the father of her daughter Trina.

Whether he forgives his new wife remains to be seen but Curtis is now playing with Jordan’s feelings. The police commissioner never got over her ex and he knows it, but he keeps turning to her whenever things don’t go his way. He is being very unfair to Jordan, who is still in love with him. He is also potentially going to cheat on Portia, who he is now married to.

Curtis is making one big mess and may not be able to get himself out of it.
