General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has a bright new future ahead of him: as a Quartermaine minion?
Let’s break down the startling changes that fans have watched Jason undergo these past few months and what it means for his iconic life!
Key Takeaways
- Jason trades Sonny’s mob world for Quartermaine business battles
- Tracy gains Jason’s loyalty in the Deception takeover
- Lucy and Serena fail to manipulate Jason into surrendering control
- Jason’s new role brings back memories of Alan Quartermaine
- Serena and Jason’s clashes could turn into unexpected romance
Jason’s New Boss
Jason has left mobbing behind. But has he really? He’s traded working for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).
Sorry, but she runs ELQ just as callously and shadily as Sonny runs his “coffee empire.” If anything, Jason is going to be just as much of a ruthless minion with her as he was with Sonny.
Jason’s New GF?
That much was made clear in the October 29 episode that took place in the Q living room, the scene of many lowdown and dirty dealings over the decades.
At the time, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and her equally craven daughter Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) tried to act like Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mum.
They fully expected Tracy and Jason to bow and scrape, forgive and forget their attempted corporate takeover.
Jason’s New Life
In case you missed it, Serena tried to trick Jason into signing Deception over to the coven. No dice.
As Jason’s earlier Deception power play revealed, he wasn’t about to fall for Serena’s scheme.
Tracy showed zero mercy, and Jason backed her up just like he used to when Sonny told him to execute a perp.
No lie, we cheered at the sight of Jason putting the women in their place in what has become HIS house.
Jason Traded the Warehouse for the Q House
But as satisfying as that scene was, Lucy said something that ran our blood cold.
Did you catch when she name-dropped Alan Quartermaine to Jason? She tried to appeal to his mercy by reminding the room she was once married to Jason’s dad. Barf bags were needed.
He refused to break and voted with the Q’s to put Deception under the ELQ umbrella.
That should be game over for Lucy and her little duckling, but we suspect that the show has bigger plans for Serena and Jason.
After all, Jason’s growing involvement in Quartermaine business has already created some interesting family tensions.
Serena and Jason Are Relationship Goals?
These two are bickering now, but soaps love to turn haters into lovers.
Who wouldn’t want to be with Jason? He’s easy on the eyes, carries his own protection, and is heir to a fortune. What’s not to like?
We suspect that Serena and Jason will tussle a bit before their passion turns to lust.
Jason needs a new love, but fans are divided on spicy Serena. What she tried to do was criminal, not just a little oopsie.
Does Jason deserve yet another she-devil who will make his life a circus ride?
With Serena and Jason’s latest Deception showdown bringing even more tension between them, a surprise romance would certainly shake things up.
Annemarie’s Take
Jason working for Tracy instead of Sonny is quite the twist, but is he really changing, or has he just traded one powerful boss for another?
And as for Serena, I can absolutely see the writers turning all that bickering into something romantic. The question is whether Jason needs another complicated woman in his life!
We shall see, but do you think that the show is turning Jason into Alan, complete with his own Lucy Mini-Me partner?
