Y&R Spoilers: Nick’s Guilt, Will He Confess To Chance?

The Young And The Restless: Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease that Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) guilt will continue to eat away at him after the death of Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). Nick was defending his sister and didn’t want to kill the man, but he did; he considers coming clean to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Will He Go To Prison?

Nick worries that because his father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) swooped in to cover up the death which was unintentional to begin with, that he could go to prison. If only Victor hadn’t done that then it wouldn’t look so bad – but Chance has figured the whole thing out and it only makes Nick look more guilty. After all, people don’t cover up accidents; Nick would rather not be charged at all, but killing someone in defense of another looks better than murder.

Nick and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) told Chance what happened truthfully, but where it all went south is when Ashland mysteriously disappeared. Victoria had called Chance and she and Nick wanted to do the right thing, but Victor has made it look all wrong.

Y & R Spoilers – Nick Newman Had Never Taken A Life

What is eating up Nick from the inside out is the guilt of taking a life, even though it was a life not worth anything. Nick could try and rationalize that Locke’s death at his hands did the world a favor, but he was still a human being. If Nick could go back in time maybe he would have done something different – but he was ready to hurt Victoria and he had no choice. He’d acted on instinct and slugged him; if he’d tried to trip him he was close enough to her to grab her neck. Nick is torn up with his guilt and at the same time fearful that he’ll be charged with murder because the relationship was so contentious.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Communication Is Key

It would be much easier for Nick if he and Chance were honest with each other; Chance knows that the death was not intentionally caused. Chance is more concerned about the crimes that Victor committed of interfering in a police investigation and tampering with evidence, namely Ashland Locke’s body being removed from the scene. Communication is key here and Nick needs to tell Chance what happened that night.

Nick is so eaten up with guilt and conflicted with worry of being blamed for a murder, no one will be surprised if he defies Victor’s “protection” and comes clean. If he does, he’ll find that Chance is not out to charge him with murder, he’s out to charge Victor with interfering with the investigation.
