Y&R Spoilers: Mishael Morgan Explains Why She Went Off Contract

The Young and the Restless spoilers show that when Mishael Morgan’s (Amanda Sinclair) promotion from contract to recurring on the show was first revealed, a few viewers were especially shocked. By then, rumors had been going around for a while, and when Morgan addressed the matter, she admitted that she had previously made this choice.

Morgan now admits that there were a number of very personal reasons why she decided to step back from Genoa City in an interview with the podcast of Soap Opera Digest. She did not, however, go into great detail about why it was the right time. When she initially made her decision in December of last year, the show wanted her to sign a contract for an additional three years.

Morgan explained that, “I always thought the show would be a part of my journey, and it had to be because I watched the show my entire life and I had so much respect for the genre.”

She continued to say that she wanted to do more ‘cutting-edge stories’. “I wanted to tell more cutting-edge stories. Just in light of Black Lives Matter and seeing what else is out there that I can be connected to. Because I love Y&R and I love the soaps, but there’s so much going on right now.”

Y&R Spoilers – We Wish Her The Best!

While it is sad to think that she will probably be in the show less and less over the coming months, we are excited to hear that she wants to move onto other projects and wish her the best. It will be exciting to see what she chooses next and what type of films and series we will watch her in.

She had recently asked on Instagram and some of the comments said she would be great on a Law and Order series and I dig that idea. She has been pretty good as the lawyer in this soap, and I think she has the ability to continue to grow and could make a great addition to a police show like that.
