However, the man wanted money, which Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) said pay him whatever he wants. However, Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) has been getting updates from Peru on Michael. Could this really be a setup?

Y&R spoilers reveal that Victor sent Michael to Peru to find more information about Ashland. Michael certainly didn’t like it but did as he was told. Michael has called and texted with updates.

However, the last message Victor received, Michael spoke of a former employee at the Peru clinic that was willing to talk. However, he wanted money. Desperate to find out the truth about Ashland, Victor said he would pay the man whatever he wanted.

During the week of February 21, Michael will get the insider on camera revealing what he knows about Ashland. The man claims that he was paid a boatload of cash to falsify Ashland’s medical records. Since this is recorded, it is exactly what Victor needs to nail Ashland. At least, that is what it appears. However, there is another twist to this story and it’s far from over.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victor isn’t dealing with the average Joe. Victor is dealing with “The Locke-ness Monster,” a man who is as ruthless, crafty and smart as he is. So, Ashland isn’t going to leave any loose ends and certainly has taken measures to make sure people don’t talk.

Remember, Ashland has been getting regular updates from a man in Peru. The last message Ashland received was that “the American” was still poking around the Peru clinic and asking questions.

Y&R Spoilers – Elaborate Setup

This seems to be a setup, in which Victor and Michael are falling for hook, line and sinker. Ashland’s plan is probably to let the insider talk to Michael and Victor. Who knows, maybe the information is 100 percent true about Ashland falsifying medical records.

However, Ashland is going to be sure he gets the last laugh when the “source” turns out to not be who he claimed. Ashland could even say that Victor and Michael fell for a Peruvian scammer. Victoria will be put in the middle. Without any actual proof of Ashland faking cancer and a random man’s allegation… Victor has nothing.

That is exactly what Ashland intends to point out to Victoria. It sounds like Victor and Michael will have to dig a little deeper to get non-disputable proof.
