Royal Family News: Prince George Was At Wimbledon For This ‘Strategic’ Reason
British Royal Family News suggests that there was a solid reason why Prince George was sandwiched in between his parents Prince William and Kate Middleton at this year’s men’s final at Wimbledon. At least, that’s what body language expert Dareen Stanton believes. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
British Royal News: Prince George Was At Wimbledon For This ‘Strategic’ Reason
While there was a lot of criticism aimed at William and Kate for making Prince George wear a suit and tie in the hot sweltering sun, they also couldn’t help but wonder why they would make George sit through a long tennis match that adults would probably like more than kids. Stanton says that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are most likely preparing their son for a long life of royal engagements and royal public appearances.
He said, “Eventually, George will find himself next in the line of succession. Therefore it’s important to Kate and William for George to be familiar with being in the public eye. They’re choosing not to shield him to a certain extent, and treating him to a day out at Wimbledon – one of the most popular sporting events on the calendar – not only puts him on the world stage, but ensures he won’t lack confidence dealing with the public or attending official ceremonies later on in life.”
What’s more, Stanton also said that the Cambridges are most likely trying to spur “a sense of duty” in their son George from the start.
Staton further explained, “He’ll instead be equipped with the experience to take it in his stride. Such a strategic move hints at the type of parents Kate and Will are and intend to be, proving that not only are they hands on, but they’re determined to instill the importance of the family’s duties as Royals within their children.”
