EastEnders Star Jamie Borthwick’s Driving Ban Reduced

EastEnders; Jamie BorthwickEastEnders spoilers and updates tease that Jamie Borthwick’s driving ban has been reduced to two months from six months. The actor was banned from driving after he was caught overspeeding.

EastEnders Spoilers – Driving Ban Due To Overspeeding

Borthwick was caught speeding while driving his Mercedes in May 2021. He received six penalty points last January. He already had an existing six penalty points, which means he reached the maximum of 12. Aside from the driving ban, he was also asked to pay £660, and another £166 in court costs.

This isn’t Borthwick’s first time to get caught overspeeding. He was previously convicted of overspeeding in 2018.

The actor, also known as Jay Brown on the soap, has been using alternative transport since his driving ban. Although he’s been paying for this service, he was unable to bring his great aunt and uncle to their hospital appointments.

EastEnders Spoilers – Jamie Borthwick Makes An Appeal

Borthwick and his lawyer, Alex Owen, filed an appeal at the Croydon Nightingale Court, on the grounds that he can’t take public transport because he might be recognized by the public.

“The circumstances of this offense are the road is a dual carriageway which isn’t signposted at 30mph limit but of course, the presence of street lights indicates that,” Owen explained.

He was unaware of that at the time, he was wrongly under the impression it was a 50mph limit,” Borthwick’s lawyer continued.

It happened in the mid-afternoon. It was relatively quiet during that time and he caused no danger. Mr Recorder Richard Thomas and Justice Olive Murray agreed to reduce the driving ban from six months to 56 days.

EastEnders Spoilers – Tina Carter’s Murder Discovery

Spoilers for March 4’s double episode will feature Tina Carter’s (Sylvie Carter) murder discovery. The Carters will finally learn about the part of what happened to their missing relative. They thought that she was on the run after attacking Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) but now they know better. She’s been dead all along, and she’s been buried under the Argee Bhajee for more than a year.

Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) breaks down in Janine Butcher’s (Charlie Brooks) arms and promises his mum, Shirley Carter (Linda Henry ) that they will find whoever did this to Tina. Fans know that Gray Atkins is the culprit not only for Tina’s death but also for his late wife Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) and Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami).
