DOOL Spoilers: Xander And Sarah Have A Breakthrough

Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease that against all odds, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) finally have an emotional breakthrough in an upcoming DOOL episode!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Xander Cook Thought They Could Not Get Past The Past

Xander had thought for sure that he and Sarah could not get past the past that she had thought was the recent present when the antidote took effect. Poor Sarah had thought that baby Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton (Emma, Miller and Kate Kamienski) was still alive, her memory came back to the point before the truth came out. Xander couldn’t bear to tell her the truth that he and Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) had swapped her baby, who died, with Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater).

That was a huge mistake, as he soon found out, having told her that Mickey’s birth father, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) had her on vacation. Eric was still in town and she wound up looking for the baby, with Eric telling her the truth – again having trust broken between her and Xander.

DOOL Spoilers – Xander Cook Was Heartbroken Realizing He’d Lost Sarah Horton Again

Xander was heartbroken realizing he’d lost Sarah again, after finding her at the Brady Pub and staying in Eric’s room, which he had told her she could stay in. Sarah couldn’t bear to come back to the Kiriakis mansion and said she’d call her mother, Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers). Sarah said there were too many bad memories there, and Xander had been so sad because he knew he had been responsible for many of them. Eric had told Sarah she could stay there at the Brady’s Pub as long as she wanted or needed to, and Xander left sadly after regretting he’d “mucked things up”. At that point, Xander pretty much gave up hope on getting Sarah back.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Eric Brady Gives Sarah Horton Advice

Unbeknownst to Xander, Eric gives Sarah some advice about grief, grieving, and even though he doesn’t have a lot of use for Xander, he understands his fear. Xander was trying to protect Sarah’s feelings but went about it the wrong way – it’s never good to withhold the truth even if the truth hurts. Lies and cover-ups only perpetuate the pain and basically it is the same thing as giving someone false hope, especially in a situation like that.

Eric tells Sarah to take plenty of time to heal and to decide if she wants anything to do with Xander from that point forward – but not go by anger. Anger will pass, as will pain, in time, but she needs to make any decisions about Xander with a clear conscience, a clear head and a clear heart.

DOOL Spoilers – Sarah Horton Takes Her Time And Starts Remembering More

Sarah takes her time as Eric advised her to, and she starts remembering more – she remembers how much Xander loved Mickey and realizes he went through pain and loss as well. He delivered her real baby and must have done what he did out of love, even if it was wrong, just as Victor must have for Maggie.

According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, Sarah gives Xander a call and wants to get together – to talk about what happened with the baby, and when he comes they talk about it. Sarah isn’t ready to return to the road of romance with Xander, but now she does understand why he did what he did and that it hurt him too. It’s not everything Xander wants with Sarah, but it is a good start.
