DOOL Spoilers: Kyle Lowder Returns, What Brings Rex Back To Salem?

Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease that Kyle Lowder will reprise his role of Rex Brady on DOOL. Stephen Nichols (Steve “Patch” Johnson) leaked Kyle was on the set filming recently; what brings Rex back to Salem?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Solid Actor, Good Guy

Stephen had high praise for Kyle as he called him a solid actor and a good guy in his social media leak. Stephen posted a short video where he repeatedly knocked on Mary Beth Evans’ (Kayla Johnson) dressing room door, the married DOOL characters being good platonic friends in real life. She answers, tells him hi, and tells someone else to come on out, and Mary Beth says she’s busy microwaving water for some tea.

Stephen then jokes a little bit about her robe being a beautiful outfit and then introduces their other scene partner. Kyle Lowder appears, gestures a peace sign and asks what’s happening, commenting “let’s do this” referring to the scene being filmed, then they head off presumably to film the scenes.

DOOL Spoilers – Kyle Lowder Has Been On DOOL For Years

Longtime Days of Our Lives viewers will recall that Kyle has played Rex Brady since 2018, but he previously appeared as Brady Black before Eric Martsolf took over the role in 1992. His latest appearance as Rex was in January 2022 when he had an awkward encounter with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and revealed Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) hadn’t eloped with him.

This eventually led to the revelation that Sarah had been kidnapped by Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). Kristen had been holding her on the same island Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) had been banished to years ago and thanks to Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) she was rescued.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Coming Home For Christmas?

It was last Christmas when Rex appeared in Salem the last time, and considering DOOL films around six months ahead, Rex may be coming home for Christmas again. Rex is the son of Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) via a strange situation where her eggs were combined with Roman’s sperm to create “The Gemini Twins”. Cassie Brady (Alexis Thorpe) was his twin, and they were discovered half-naked during a meteor shower and originally suspected to be aliens.

Of course, this was the result of a wild scheme of Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo). They were originally thought to be the children of Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) but that theory was proven false.

DOOL Spoilers – Lucas Brady Is Leaving Salem

Lucas Brady (Bryan Datillo) will soon be leaving Salem, and it has been rumored that Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) could return but has not been confirmed. Kate will be without any children at Christmastime if Philip doesn’t return, and none of her other children are confirmed to return. It may just be that Rex comes home to visit Mom and Dad for Christmas, although it is always possible that he’ll be back for a longer stay. More should be revealed as time goes on; perhaps by that time Sarah will be well enough for them to practice medicine at Salem University Hospital again.
