Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Mason Whitfield (Brandon Butler) claims that he was born in Salem.
With all the questions about Philip Kiriakis (John Paul Lavoisier) wanting children, fans cannot help but wonder if Mason could be Philip’s son with Mimi Lockhart (Farah Fath). Could this be his son who was given up years ago?
Key Takeaways
- Mason reveals he was born in Salem before his family moved away
- Mason and Philip share a connection through the Marines
- Fans wonder if Mason could be Philip and Mimi’s secret son
- Philip admits he once hoped to have children with Chloe
- Kate may be the one to uncover a surprising family connection
Mason Whitfield Is A Former Marine
Mason is a former Marine and is attending Salem University. Mason also helps operate a hotline under the supervision of Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).
Mason has PTSD from his time in the Marines, and he also lost a good friend to suicide. Mason immediately recognized Holly Jonas’ (Ashley Puzemis) name and took an instant dislike to her.
Mason has recently become Holly’s mentor, and she is now helping on the hotline. Mason has finally realized that things were not as black and white as he thought.
Mason has admitted that he was not fair to Holly, and Holly even offered to vouch for him with Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) when he applied for an apartment.
Mason Whitfield And Philip Kiriakis’ Connection
When Mason and Philip met, they had an instant connection. Philip was in the Marines at one time himself.
Fans have begun to wonder if Philip and Mason could have more than just a connection through the Marines.
Could these two be connected through DNA as well as through their military service?
Mason said his family moved away from Salem after he was born. Mason came back to Salem for the social work program.
Let’s assume that Mason has recently realized that he was adopted and may be there to find his birth family.
Could Mason know that Philip is his father and simply be waiting to introduce himself to him?
Philip Kiriakis Admits To Wanting Kids
Philip recently admitted that he thought he and Chloe Lane might have kids (Nadia Bjorlin), but that was “not in the cards.”
Of course, the name would have had to be changed, but perhaps Philip’s son may have been orphaned by his first adoptive parents and been adopted by someone else.
Perhaps Mason’s father died, and he may have been adopted by a stepfather.
Whatever the case, Mason could very easily be Philip’s son, and it would not take a lot of changes to make that happen.
Could Mason find out that he is a Kiriakis and perhaps be accepted into the family in the end?
If Mason is Philip’s son, will he ever learn that truth?
Could Philip finally get to be a father to his son, even if he is grown now? Will Kate Brady (Lauren Koslow) be the one who puts this together?
Editor’s Take
I think this could be an interesting twist for Philip! He’s been talking about wanting children, and suddenly Mason arrives with a mysterious connection to Salem. Coincidence? Maybe, but we know how Salem works! I’d love to see Kate’s reaction if she discovered she had another grandson.
What do you think? Could Mason really be Philip and Mimi’s son, or are fans reading too much into their connection?
