Counting On Alum Austin Forsyth Wins Over More TLC Fans

Counting On fans often slammed Austin Forsyth and his wife, Joy-Anna Duggar, However, since the trial of Josh Duggar, TLC fans seem to warm to him a  lot. Actually, people also seem a bit kinder to Joy-Anna these days. Across social media, people start to agree that Austin is probably a better man than they gave him credit for. So, if you think Joy married a loser, you might also change your mind.

Counting On – Alums Austin Forsyth & Joy Were Slammed A Lot

One example of Joy-Anna taking heat from fans came when she shared a video on YouTube about her son Gideon’s learning difficulties. It came months before the sentencing of her brother Josh. At the time, critics who look for things to complain about complained that she exploited her son by making the video. Actually, some insults went her way that suggested she was no better than her dad, Jim Bob. Meanwhile, Austin got slammed for letting his son drink coffee. However, he’d clearly tagged it as being decaf.

Counting On fans started to adjust their ideas about Austin a bit during the trial of Josh Duggar. Joy-Anna looked visibly upset after hearing some of the evidence and when she left court with her husband, he looked like he’d maybe been crying. After his conviction, their statement said that they agreed with the verdict. Well, that seemed refreshing, as so many of the adult kids in the family didn’t speak up much at all.

Counting On – Fans Warm To Austin

Austin Forsyth picked up some kudos from Katie Joy from Without A Crystal Ball. Actually, apart from Jill and Derick Dillard, few of the Duggars get any praise from the influencer. On Sunday, June 5, she shared a post about how Austin is an authentic EMT. In her caption, she noted that others talk about rescue work and heroic acts, but Austin doesn’t have to “lie” about his qualification.

She noted, “Joy Anna Forsyth’s husband is actually an EMT. While John Duggar has touted his vast emergency training for years, he holds no license.” Additionally, she pointed out, “Austin Forsyth put in the work. He’s licensed in the state of Arkansas as an EMT.” So, people started talking about the Counting On alum in the comments. In fact, it seems like a lot of people have warmed to him.

One Counting On fan said that they “like [Austin Forsyth] more and more.” Actually, many others talked about the same thing. One of them noted, “My opinion of Austin just keeps improving.”

Meanwhile, another fan pointed out, “he and Derrick are legit.”

This comment also arrived: “I am liking Austin more and more all the time. Stands up for the truth and for his wife. You know, what a husband/man SHOULD DO!”
