Of the two sisters, Amy and Tammy Slaton, who vowed in Season 1 to get their weight under control, Amy has been the success story. The younger of the two sisters was able to qualify for bariatric surgery quickly in the first season of the show. 1000-Lb. Sisters – Doctor Warned Amy Slaton About Backsliding

Though Amy’s story has been one of success up to this point, viewers are now getting a real taste of how difficult it is to recover from food addiction. While 1000-Lb. Sisters fans applauded Amy for slimming down to qualify for bariatric surgery, the doctor warned her that the battle was just beginning.

Even after her surgery, the doctor cautioned, Amy was going to have to continue maintaining her diet and exercise routine if she wanted to turn her life around. Sadly, from a picture she shared on Instagram recently, it looks as if she might be failing.

1000-Lb. Sisters – Some Fans Thought Gage Caused Amy Slaton To Change Priorities

Concern began to grow for the 1000-Lb. Sisters veteran’s continued progress by the end of season 3. That’s when the Slaton realized she had stalled in her weight loss, falling short of the progress she was expected to have made in the years since bariatric surgery.

Some fans believed that it was the birth of Gage and the subsequent shift in her priorities that stalled her progress. Now that the mother of one is expecting a second child, fans are even more worried for her future.

1000-Lb. Sisters – Fans Say Amy Has ‘Stopped Trying’

Amy’s latest Instagram image seems to confirm what fans have been concerned about. Even though it was expected that the expectant mother would gain weight while pregnant, it seems to many fans that hers is over-the-top.

One fan commented, “I know [Amy’s] pregnant… [but] she should not have gained this much weight.” Another fan took it even further, adding, “She’s starting to look closer to how she did pre-surgery than post-surgery.” Some fans think the TV personality has given up with one revealing, “I think [Amy] has pretty much stopped trying to lose any weight.”
