Amanda is a very buttoned-up person, as many within the legal field can be. But the tremendous weight of the emotional issues she’s dealing with have naturally made her receptive to Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) open-hearted support.

Y&R Spoilers And Rumors – Baton Toss From Elena Dawson

Devon had a revealing dream in which he was in the penthouse with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), but then his current feelings allowed Amanda to take her place. That baton toss signals that whatever Devon and Elena had is over, or should be.

As for Demanda, Y&R has developed the connection between Devon and Amanda very naturally. The pacing never felt rushed and the circumstances that are allowing their friendship to grow into something more substantial are believable.

While Elena remains somewhat conflicted in being with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), she has seemed happier in recent weeks. Realizing that her time with Devon wasn’t meant to be can allow Nelena to have a chance to succeed.

Hevon was one of Y&R’s great couples of the last decade. But Hilary Hamilton (Morgan) and Devon endured significant turmoil and also broke up before remarrying just prior to her passing.

It’s taken toward a year and a half to write Devon and Amanda to this point. It would seem logical to conclude that Demanda happens in 2021. But attempting to compare this projected pairing to Hevon at any moment wouldn’t be wise.

This new couple’s survival will be determined by Devon’s feelings for Elena actually being non-existent. Demanda will also persist if Amanda allows herself to take a most unusual chance on love, when considering the Hilary factor, and when incorporating whatever effects the Naya arc has on an assumed new romantic relationship.
