How Old Is Prince William?

Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge, is the elder son of Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, and the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

The prince is the second in line to inherit the throne of England.

As important as his role is in the Royal Family, many fans are often curious just how old the Duke of Cambridge is, and we’ll discuss that soon.

When Prince William Met Kate Middleton

William met his wife, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, in 2001 when they were both students in residence at St Salvator’s Hall at the University of St Andrews, but the two didn’t begin dating until 2003.

In November 2010 it was announced that the two were to marry, having gotten engaged earlier that year, in October.

The couple now has three children, Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, of Cambridge.

An Extensive Military Record

As the second in line to the throne the prince’s responsibilities are extensive.

At just 21 years of age, William was made a Counsellor of State giving him the responsibilities of the position which could include most of the official duties of the Sovereign such as attending Privy Council meetings, signing routine documents, and receiving the credentials of new ambassadors to the United Kingdom.

In 2006, William attended the Royal Military Academy and, in 2008, went on attachment to the Royal Air Force and then to the Royal Navy.

By 2010 the prince was a helicopter pilot for the RAF.

So Much Value At Such A Young Age

According to Royal.uk, the prince has since been involved in a great deal of charitable work as well, and one of his major functions seems to center on the protection of the natural environment, with His Royal Highness publicly supporting initiatives to fund conservation.

In a speech that can be found on Facebook, the Duke of Cambridge, who is president of United for Wildlife said, “Let us not tell our children the sad tale of how we watched as the last elephants, rhinos and tigers died out, but the inspiring story of how we turned the tide and preserved them for all humanity.”

With so much accomplished, it is no wonder that people are curious about Prince William’s age.
At 39 years of age, most people couldn’t imagine having such an extensive resume so it’s not surprising that people are still sometimes curious.
