Days Of Our Lives News – Star Eric Martsolf Can Sing

While you’d never find Brady Black singing for his supper unless he decided to let loose and do some karaoke in a bar outside Salem where he’d never be recognized, you could once find Martsolf at amusement parks crooning along with other musicians at Hershey Park in Hershey, PA, not far from where the actor grew up. He also spent some time singing at a singer’s amusement park, Dollywood, in Pigeon Forge, TN.

While Martsolf may have pursued a career in performing, it’s not the field he originally intended to pursue. In fact, he didn’t study anything in the arts at all in college and instead earned his degree in political science from Dickinson College with a focus on mass media politics and Constitutional law. But he always performed on the side and when it came time to make a life choice, performing won out.

Before he was Brady Black, Martsolf played Ethan Winthrop on NBC’s Passions from 2002-2008. But even before that, Martsolf made a one-day Passions appearance as a police officer when he was still trying to land his big soap break.

After Passions was canceled, NBC scooped Martsolf right up to take over the role of Brady Black, a part previously made famous by Kyle Lowder, who now plays Rex Brady on and off. In 2014, Martsolf snagged a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and five years later earned another nomination in the same category.

Days Of Our Lives – Eric Martsolf Meets His Wife The Musical Way

Martsolf was still pursuing a musical career when he met the woman who would change his life, Lisa Kouchak. The two wed in 2003 and they became parents to twin boys, Mason and Chase, in 2006. Those twin boys are now giving their dad a run for his money as teens. Happy Birthday to Days of Our Lives’ Eric Martsolf as he enters this new chapter in his life.
