Both families think it’s a terrible idea, but the worst reaction probably comes from EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), who orders Johnny to get an annulment.

DOOL spoilers reveal that Johnny and Chanel took a trip to Italy to go on vacation. While they were gone, the couple missed a lot. After all, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) aka “MarDevil” has now been exposed. However, Johnny and Chanel have a bombshell of their own to announce. The couple got married while they were in Italy, which they are very excited about.

Both Johnny and Chanel are over the moon with their new relationship status. They expect their families to be supportive. However, that doesn’t happen. Instead, Johnny and Chanel are told what a terrible idea it was to get hitched. Actor Carson Boatman told Soap Opera Digest,

“I think he’s kind of anticipating a good reaction, or at least he’s very hopeful. He’s expecting his parents to be happy and supportive… Johnny doesn’t quite get the reaction that he was hoping for.”

EJ has a good reason not to be excited. Johnny and Chanel have only been dating a short time. They certainly don’t know each other well enough to get married, which is a serious commitment. Plus, with both Chanel and Johnny coming from wealthy parents, no prenup is obviously a major concern.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that EJ and Johnny have been at war since they reunited in Salem. For a short time, it seemed as if they had put their differences aside, especially when EJ got his way with the movie roles. However, the feud will be reignited as EJ lashes out at Johnny. EJ will go as far as to tell Johnny to get the marriage annulled.

Knowing Johnny, he won’t do any such thing. Johnny will insist that he was right to marry Chanel. Johnny might even hit his father where it hurts by saying he’ll make a better husband than EJ could ever be. EJ will probably try to force Johnny’s hand by kicking him out of the DiMera mansion or cutting him off financially once again.

However, Johnny probably won’t care and will hope to get the support of his mother. Unfortunately, he might not get the response he’s expecting from Sami DiMera (Alison Sweeney) either.
