B&B spoilers reveal that Deacon has already made a lot of progress with Hope. Despite a lot of people being against the reconnection, Hope trusts that her father has really changed for the better. Deacon wants to continue bonding with Hope and finds a way to do just that.

In fact, fans may recall that last week, Deacon sent Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) a text message about Hope’s interests. Deacon might get an answer that surprises him, which could lead to their “sparring session” during the week of December 13.

Kanan spoke to Soap Opera Digest about Deacon and Hope’s shared passion. It turns out that both Deacon and Hope are passionate about martial arts. It turns out that it’s not just the characters that share this connection, but the actors as well.

“Annika is a trained martial artist. We actually trained with the same guy many years ago, unbeknownst to either of us, until we started talking. Deacon has a history of martial arts on the show, and Hope has definitely learned to defend herself over the years. It was a great match.”

However, an unexpected and unwelcome interruption sets off Hope. Kanan teases that Hope unleashes her rage at the guest, which must be Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).

“Hope is formidable. If there was a ‘good cop/bad cop’ thing going on, I might be a little more leery of disturbing Hope rather than Deacon. You do not want to get on the wrong side of her.”
