Amy Duggar King took to Twitter on Friday, December 17 to tweet about the “traits of a sociopath” with brother Josh Duggar’s sentencing just around the corner.
It may or may not have been her intention for the tweet to point towards her brother and his conviction for receiving and possessing child pornography, but fans have minds of their own. The tweet in question started with the title “Traits of a sociopath” which was followed by a list of those traits.
“Lack of remorse, guilt or empathy -constant deception -inability to form emotional attachments -superficial charm – dishonesty -manipulative -reckless behavior.”

Though the former reality TV star did not make it clear that she was referring to any specific person in or out of her life, fans quickly formed their own theories on the matter. One fan just came right out and tweeted, simply but equally as cryptic, “Sounds like a couple men who have been in the news lately. And pretty much all politicians.”
Other fans were not cryptic at all with one tweeting bluntly, “Just admit that you’re describing your cousin, JOSH DUGGAR, pedophile. Enough with the cryptic messages.” Another fan went even further, tweeting, “Sounds exactly like Josh Duggar to me and the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! Jim Bob is just as bad!!”
Other fans had different ideas about who the tweet was referencing. Several fans pointed to Katie Joy Duggar. One wrote, “Sounds like Katie Joy!” while still another tweeted, “Sounds like your bestie Katie.”
Still, even with a few differing opinions, the focus was primarily on Josh. “Sounds exactly like Josh Duggar to me and the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! Jim Bob is just as bad!!”
There was praise for Amy too, for what tweeters perceived as Amy standing up for what was right. “I love that you are a Duggar and a realist. That you’re everything opposite of the iblp cult. You’re honest, independent, strong, beautiful, a feminist but also a devoted Christian. You stand up for what is right!”
All this comes after the 35-year-old 19 Kids and Counting star went on Instagram on December 9, to call for the “healing” of the victims of abuse, writing, “May the daughters who were abused feel validated. You are truly beautiful and worthy of love. May there be intense counseling/healing. May there be wisdom for all those involved on how to move forward.”
