The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Sharon’s Pregnant Pause – Is She Expecting?

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that this week in Genoa City has been one of surprise, revelations and far flung theories. How else would things go given the fact that the entire town is celebrating Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) 50th year as a titan of industry?

Besides the celebratory vibe that takes place this week, there is a reminder that Sharon (Sharon Case) is battling breast cancer, and yet the show takes a welcome moment into humorous territory at the same time, lightening what has been a somber mood for Sharon and her family.

It’s because of an awkward encounter between Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Sharon that fans are asking, “Is Sharon pregnant?!”

Nikki and Sharon have each been married to Victor (uber awkward) and of course Sharon has been married to Niktor’s son Nick (Joshua Morrow), facts which will haunt Nikki to her grave.

Really, can you blame her? Imagine having to celebrate the holida’s with the woman who can boast she’s bedded both your husband and your son?

Despite the animosity, the two blondes meet up in the powder room while at the anniversary bash. In the tight space they traded barbs, with Nikki bemoaning her fate of having to be tied to Sharon through grandchildren.

Sharon couldn’t hide the fact that she was feeling unsteady as she tried to keep her balance. Nikki wanted to know if Sharon was drunk, and then presumed that she might, horror of horrors, actually be pregnant.

The thought was so ludicrous that poor Sharon broke out laughing at the irony and absurdity of it all. Still, Nikki wouldn’t be assuaged and wanted to know what was obviously wrong with her sparring partner.

Quick-thinking Sharon said it was the appetizers! After going to the ends of the earth to plan the event, Nikki wasn’t buying it.

Afterward fans flocked online to check out the rumor going around that Sharon was pregnant! If only it were that simple and happy.

Sharon isn’t pregnant, she’s battling a war against breast cancer and while many friends and family now know about it, Nikki doesn’t just yet which explains her clueless comments.

No doubt she will seek to help Sharon out once she does learn the news. Although these two have gone at it over the years, Sharon is a sympathetic character and they do have loved ones in common.

In the meantime, kudos to Sharon Case for bringing life to a difficult but relevant storyline that is bound to help millions of women who have had cancer or may currently be struggling with the illness.
