Victor needs someone to step up to the plate as temporary CEO until Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) recovers, but to Victor, he is the only one who can take that spot at the moment. Adam also has the same idea in mind and is pondering the idea of stepping up as CEO while Victoria is in the hospital. After talking it over with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), he decides that he will talk to Victor about it and contacts him.

YR Spoilers – Adam Newman wants to work at Newman

When Nick hears that Adam wants to meet up with Victor, he is not happy about it and warns his father to be careful when it comes to Adam and to question his motives, which Victor does reassure Nick before he takes his leave. When Adam arrives, they tiptoe around the topic for a while until Adam just tells Victor his whole proposal of wanting to run the company in the absence of Victoria.

Victor does seem intrigued by the thought of Adam taking over the company for now. It would make sense as Victor has been trying to get Adam in the seat for a while now, but Adam usually works to fight him on it. However, if Victor does decide to agree to this, Nick will not be pleased about it as he and Adam have become enemies ever since he came back into town and want to get Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) back. Nick will probably do whatever it takes to persuade Victor not to let Adam run Newman.
