Mariah is not the most emotionally stable woman in town, so her tumultuous relationship with Tessa was par for the course. But what was surprising was the self-destructive manner in which stuck a fork in their union.

Insecure and lonely, Mariah slept with someone she was on a hi/bye acquaintance with, and it came back to bite her. Long-distance relationships take work, but Mariah didn’t read that chapter of the book apparently. It’s understandable that she would have suspicions about Tessa going on the road with her ex, but most people would talk out, not act out their feelings.

Of course it takes two to tango, so it is relevant to question Tessa’s role in their breakup.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – What is next for Mariah Copeland?

Tessa wanted none of it, although there were plenty of times she broke Mariah’s heart in the past. She was not moved by Mariah’s admission that her life was a mess, with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) fighting cancer, and having lost her plum corporate job.

Later, Sharon told Mariah the best thing may be to leave town and take another job. Then, out of the blue, Tanner Watts (Chase Coleman) got a hold of Mariah and instructed her to leave town on a mysterious expedition.
