Finally It’s Down: Duke And Duchess Of Sussex’s Instagram Page Kicked From Royals Website

Those who have been keeping up with all the drama surrounding Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and the rest of the British Royal Family, know that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were supposed to take down their “Sussex Royal” social media pages a long time ago. However, that didn’t happen and for whatever reason, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dragged things out as long as humanly possible. Some even felt that Harry and Meghan were intentionally being rebellious and disrespectful to Queen Elizabeth over the entire issue.

However, now it’s been reported that these social media pages have been kicked from royal.uk, the official website of The Firm. Interestingly, it wasn’t just Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “Sussex Royal” Instagram page, which was removed. Prince Andrew’s social media pages on Instagram and Twitter were taken down as well.

It should be noted that while Prince Harry and Meghan’s Instagram account was removed, and while Prince Andrew’s social media pages were erased from the site, biographical pages for all three remain.

Royal Site Now Lists Only Queen Elizabeth And Other Working Royals

Many argue that it’s beyond the time that the social media accounts of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and obviously Prince Andrew should be removed from the official website of the Royal Family. After all, Prince Harry and Meghan aren’t working royals any longer. As some commentators have noted, Prince Harry and Meghan made a huge deal about stepping down from their positions as senior members of the British Royal Family.

Indeed, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made much about their desire for both privacy and financial independence, and then they removed themselves from the U.K. entirely. Now many are demanding to know why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should be honored with having media accounts that do nothing for the rest of the British Royals on the official Royal website.

The same holds true for the utterly disgraced Prince Andrew who adds nothing to the honor and prestige of the British Royal Family. Indeed, when it comes to Prince Andrew, who has been accused of much wrongdoing in connection with the notorious Jeffrey Epstein, one could argue that he damages the image of the monarchy!

All three, Harry, Meghan, and Prince Andrew are disgraced to one degree or another. As such, many now argue that Buckingham Palace was quite right in removing these accounts from its Online presence.

Queen Elizabeth Quietly Plays Damage Control

In addition to ensuring that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are living up to their end of the “Megxit” agreement, it seems Queen Elizabeth may be playing at damage control. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have to use their own social media accounts without the “Royal” branding … which distances and insulates the Queen from wild and woke arguments the Duke and Duchess have been making of late.

Likewise, Prince Andrew’s personal website has gone entirely offline and now directs back to his bio page on the official Royal website. In other words, Queen Elizabeth has taken a tight reign and is working to control the narrative and public image of her second son.
