Emmerdale Spoilers: Charley Webb, Concerned About Lack Of Social Distancing – People Are Not Taking Virus Seriously

Emmerdale: Charley Webb

It seems that Charley Webb has been active lately on social media in regard to the Coronavirus outbreak. She has been weighing in on the conversation and feels that it is not being taken seriously. From corona challenges to lack of social distancing, this article will be exploring a couple of the things that she has discussed so far.

Emmerdale Spoilers – Coronavirus Challenge

Emmerdale star Charley Webb (plays Debbie Dingle) took to Twitter on the 23rd of March in reference to the Coronavirus Challange. The Coronavirus challenge is a challenge that is going around in places like TikTok, where people try to get the virus.

When Charley caught wind of it, she posted, “This is the most DISGUSTING thing I’ve ever seen. Coronavirus or not. The fact that people have set up a ‘coronavirus challenge’ is again bizarre. I honestly worry about these people and what is going through their minds.” She was not the only one who took offense to this challenge as many people have been talking about one of the videos going around of a girl who licked a toilet seat in hopes of getting the virus.

However, this would not be her only comment as on a run to the grocery store, she bumped into more trouble. As she noticed that no precautions were being taken in order to stop the spread of the virus in the stores and that many people ignored her request to stay at least two meters away from her. This made her feel like no one was taking the virus seriously.

She would later post this “I went to our local supermarket today. No one had masks or gloves on, including the people that were working. I had to ask 2 people to stop coming closer than 2metres and got abuse. A lot of people aren’t taking this seriously whatsoever.”

Emmerdale Spoilers- What is Essential?

She would later get into it with an ex costar, Louise Marwood, for asking a question about who should and should not be at home. As Charley Webb posted, “I know window cleaners and gardeners work outside but surely they’re not essential workers. Shouldn’t they be staying at home? They’ve been at 2 of our neighbors today, I’m confused about this ‘lockdown’.

Shouldn’t we all just be at home unless we absolutely can’t?@piersmorgan” She tagged Piers Morgan to it as she has done with many of her posts in order to start a conversation. However, ex costar, Louise Marwood, asked her, “Why are you asking him?”. In which she replied to her, saying, “Have you not been reading his feed? It wasn’t really a question, it was a discussion.

This has been the only thing on GMB and I’ve been following it. Why?” Louise Marwood never replied after that. To clear up any misunderstandings, she later posted, “The point of my tweet was to say, it’s not clear who and who can’t travel to work. I understand it says, ‘if you can’t work from home’. If everyone who couldn’t work from home continued to travel to work we’d never get rid of this virus. This would all just carry on. X”.

It seems that Charley was really busy the past few days having conversations based on the pandemic. What do you think? Should we be asking more questions and starting more conversations? Is the virus being taken seriously enough? Be sure to catch up on everything happening with the soap right now. Come back here often for Emmerdale spoilers, news, updates, and rumors!
