Young and the Restless’ Arturo Rosales is definitely not going anywhere and neither is his family. His character was a great addition to the show and the introduction of the Rosales clan as well. Canela said he has great respect for the soap’s core families who have been on Y&R for decades. He feels optimistic about the addition of his character’s family on the soap.
He understands that some veteran Young and the Restless viewers may find it hard to watch their Latino family play an important part in the dynamics of the show given that the soap has been running for more than four decades.
But he knows that everyone was once a newcomer in Y&R, and he believes that viewers in the past may have also had a hard time accepting. He pointed out that fans sometimes find it hard to accept a new character especially if one of the fan favorites have left or perhaps replaced for some reason.
Because of that, Canela wanted to make it clear that the Rosales clan is not here to replace any existing family. He also added that viewers should expect to see more of them so they all better be ready to either love them or love to hate them.
Jason Canela made his first appearance in “The Young and The Restless” as Arturo Rosales February 2018. He was introduced as a sexy contractor who was revealed later on as Nikki’s new boy toy. Fans were not only shocked to find out that he was sleeping with Nikki but at the revelation that Nikki and Victor were in an open relationship. Arturo and Nikki eventually ended their affair and now he’s in a serious relationship with Abby.
Canela considers being part of “The Young and The Restless” as a blessing. He knows for a fact that there are countless other more talented individuals out there. But he was chosen and given the chance to do what he does best, act, and get paid for it. He is also thrilled to be part of a Latino family in the show.

As a Latino himself, he feels very proud for being able to showcase his culture. He is extremely grateful for having the chance to give the soap viewers an insight of who Latinos really are. He considers his role as Arturo as a “huge, huge blessing.”
