‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Chabs Teased As Next Super Couple – Chance Brushes Phyllis Off

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) and Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) reintroduction to each other, that occurred during moments of high drama at the Grand Phoenix, appears to hint that something more is bound to follow. Chabs (Chance and Abby) is catchy, sounds much better than Ance (Abby and Chance) and most importantly, works within the developing personal storylines of both characters.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was instantly interested in Chance when he arrived at the hotel she partly owns in Genoa City, Wisconsin. As Y&R fans recall, the revert to Stafford as Phyllis took place earlier this year. It was during that time in the plot that Phyllis first became aware of Chance’s connection to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), as they have some type of still unexplained connection.

Chance shrugged what appeared to be Phyllis’ flirtation off, following Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) taking hostages as part of his demand for the money Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) owes him. That injected some needed humor into a what was a very serious daytime tale.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Recasts Make Today Fresh

The last time viewers saw Chance, he was played by John Driscoll (Phillip Chancellor III) in 2011. At that time in Y&R’s history, Marcy Rylan (Abby) embodied the character Ordway now plays.

Chance isn’t known to have any current romantic ties and has already told Abby that he’d like to get together with her when he returns from Maldives. Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers), who Simon just stunningly referenced during a jail time cell phone call, is there waiting for Jill Abbott Atkinson (Jess Walton), who’s going to chew him out.

Abby was just booted out of her burgeoning relationship with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). She’s free and so is Chance. So putting them together makes sense.

Let’s not gloss over what Phyllis witnessed in Las Vegas, Nevada. She spotted Chance and Adam together, but didn’t know what that meant.

Now, based on the initial interactions Chance and Adam have had, including the last one at the penthouse, it’s certain that they were linked. Whether Adam was pursuing justice with Chance, while he was undercover, might be a stretch.

However, Adam didn’t have his memory at the time. So maybe this speculation has legs?

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chabs Works On Personal Level

Connecting one of GC’s legacy family members with another would be an easy fit. As Abby and Chance referenced, they knew each other in the past. Pairing them now would allow for a fresh duo to form.

Abby is succeeding at Society, while the Grand Phoenix has had its issues since opening. But she hasn’t had a long-term relationship since Ben ‘Stitch’ Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) left town. Chance projects as the next good guy in her life. Here’s hoping Y&R makes that happen, as new adventures for both characters would likely be intriguing.
