General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, May 17, 2019, reveals Nurses Ball opens up with the red carpet. Maxie West (Kirsten Storms) is live-tweeting while Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford) is helping to co-host the event with Sydney Val Jean (Chandra Wilson).

Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) is the first to arrive. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) arrive. Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) arrives next. Scott is upset over Kevin and Ava. Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) make the red carpet next. Valentin Cassidine (James Patrick Stuart) arrives to meet Nina. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) arrive, and he speaks. Liz Balwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) arrive at the ball. Peter August (Wes Ramsey) arrives and joins Maxie at the ball.

Nina runs out to get a drink, Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademaker) offers her champagne. Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) arrive. Jacks is interviewed about his plans for Port Charles. Nina seems taken with Jax. Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) arrive together, Nina wonders where Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) arrive followed by Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers).

General Hospital’s Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) comes downstairs and meets Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) downstairs. Jocelyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) doesn’t want to go to the ball, Carly doesn’t want to leave Jocelyn alone. Sonny hates this night every year, but Stone tells him in his head every year to go. Sonny says he’s glad he puts that tux on and goes. Carly wants to wait for Kristina Corinthos Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) to get there.

Carly and Sonny arrive and meet with Michael and Sasha. Carly excuses herself to go to the restroom, and Sonny knows she is texting Jocelyn. Jacks speaks to Sonny and Carly before the ball. Lulu speaks to Sonny when he goes for a drink. Jax checks on Jocelyn before the ballroom opens.

General Hospital Spoilers – Lucy Coe Works On Her Plan

Lulu introduces Jacks to Peter and Valentin. Shiloh approaches Sonny and Carly and asks about Kristina. Sonny tells Shiloh it is family first and always at any cost. Shiloh tells Sonny it would be in the best interest of Kristina and her family if she comes back to DOD.

General Hospital’s Lucy and Scott want to put the brakes on Ava and Kevin’s relationship. Lucy instructs Scott to approach Ava when Kevin walks away. Kevin is lured away to a room upstairs supposedly to help someone who had passed out on the red carpet.

Lucy pulls Kevin into the room and comes on to Kevin. Lucy wants to save Kevin from himself. Scott takes Ava to the room, planning for her to see Kevin and Lucy in bed. Meanwhile, the Metrocourt ballroom doors open and everyone moves to take their seats.
