General Hospital Spoilers: Desperate Liz Seeks Help Reversing Franco’s Memory Loss

Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst)

General Hospital spoilers tease that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will want to try to hurry up the process of getting her husband Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) back with his own life, memories, and personality and seek assistance to reverse the memory transfer that’s turned him into “Frankendrew”!

GH Spoilers – Elizabeth Webber Thinks That General Hospital Has The Best Doctors

Of course, Elizabeth thinks that General Hospital has the best doctors on the East Coast and they probably do, but what has happened to Franco is way beyond their expertise! Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) has assured Elizabeth that he knew a memory expert and has put in a call, but there is no word on when that expert will arrive or if he or she is even willing to consult on the bizarre case.

They may try hypnotism or memory recovery therapy, but if there are no memories in Franco’s subconscious to retrieve, this will not work. It, unfortunately may turn out to be a memory replacement rather than a memory transfer, with Franco’s own memories and personality eliminated rather than just mapped over.

General Hospital Spoilers – Real Drew Cains’s Procedure Was Different

Dr Arthur Cabot (Time Winters) apparently made some modifications to the procedure that was done on Real Drew Cain (Billy Miller) when Jason Morgan’s memories were transferred to him, because General Hospital viewers will recall that Drew, as Jason, flew a plane to get him, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and others off Cassadine Island several years ago when Nikolas Cassadine (then Nick Stabile) was presumed killed by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

Drew must have some subconscious memories and skills of his own, because Jason never learned to fly a plane so it couldn’t have come from him, and he didn’t get Jason’s personality along with his memories as Franco seems to have gotten from pre-2012 Drew. Plus, Drew doesn’t even have the same personality as he did pre-2012 as evidenced by Frankendrew! Drew acts and reacts totally different than the Drew that exists in Franco; he doesn’t go to bars, he doesn’t drink and he eschews violence although he can defend himself and others when he is needed to! General Hospital viewers will also recall he refused to be Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) enforcer when “Jake Doe” started getting Jason’s memories!

GH Spoilers – This May Be A Case Beyond Neurologists’ Help

When Dr. Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) and Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) first attended to Franco when he was brought in, neurological tests were run and it was determined that neurologically there was no damage, and his physical brain was normal for Franco’s condition, having had a tumor removed.

However, they didn’t know what the effect would be of removing Drew’s memories; they could only go by Dr. Andre Maddox’s (Anthony Montgomery) speculations concerning the real Drew and that he could lose all his new memories, and that a removal of Jason’s memories could leave Drew’s brain blank and speculated he could either go into a coma or into a vegetative state. So that is the only advice that they could give concerning Franco, since it’s a brand new territory. Peter August (Wes Ramsey), feeling guilty for his part of holding that memory drive as leverage a few years ago may also try to contact people he may know of to help Franco, so at least Elizabeth will have plenty of people trying to help her get her Franco back!
