General Hospital Rumor: Will The Twins Mystery Finally Be Solved?

General Hospital Spoilers: Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)General Hospital spoilers tease that both the mysteries of who Patients 1-5 were in the Boronsky Clinic and where the twins were in Dr. Arthur Cabot’s (Time Winters) study may be solved, and the twins may be Patients 1-6.

Viewers know Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was Patient 6, so it stands to reason that Drew Cain (Billy Miller) must have been Patient 5. They of course would be the newest set of twins, who were in the more perfected memory mapping procedure that began with Dr. Cabot’s work but were finished by Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery).

However, Andre either didn’t know about the blindness virus or he wasn’t able to eliminate it. Dr. Cabot was present when the memory procedure was used on Jason and Drew, since Cabot was patient zero, the one who first had the “virus”. Drew and Jason have just suffered their bouts with the strange virus, which makes sense, as they are the newest study subjects.

General Hospital – Did Peter Know About The Twins Study?

When Peter August (Wes Ramsey) made a deal with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) last summer, he offered up what he knew about Patients 1-5 to the WSB, but Robert never followed up. He had heard Dr. Richard Klein (Gene Farber) bragging about his involvement in the work on the previous patients, so Peter knew they were there at one point but was not sure if any still were.

Peter must have known they were connected to a twins study or he wouldn’t have taken the disco ball Christmas ornament Andre had given to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), which had accidentally been donated to a Christmas fair. Anna had no clue the ornament contained top secret medical research and a memory-mapping program which affected Drew, Jason, and possibly herself, even though she was in an earlier study.

Could Andre have targeted Anna because he knew she was one of the subjects in the original study?  Dr. Klein must have been working with Dr. Cabot on the original study with Patients 1-4, the other two sets of twins, for him to have any information on them and have worked with them as well. Remember, Peter did hear Klein bragging about his work on the other patients.

General Hospital – One Set Of Males And One Set Of Females

What about Anna herself and her twin, Alex Marick, and when were Kevin Collins and Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) there? Since Anna had her attack and presumably Alex did at the same time, and Kevin and Ryan had theirs a few days apart, they were probably there at the same time. That makes sense, if it were the first trial and maybe Dr. Cabot wanted to have a set of males and a set of females to see if they reacted differently.

Longtime ABC soap viewers who watched both GH and All My Children will recall Finola Hughes migrated over to AMC in the late 1990s to play Alexandra Marick. She was suffering flashbacks of a different life, where she was a spy, and later it was revealed that she had been the victim of a brainwashing study a few years earlier, in which she had been brainwashed into thinking she was Anna and in fact she was supposed to kill her!

Anna, in the meantime, had been missing and presumed dead for years, (probably after being in the twins study). She and her husband Dimitri Marick (Michael Nader) found Anna alive, but very ill, in a cabin where an old man, Bart (Ralph Waite) had been caring for her.

General Hospital – Anna Still Has Memory Issues

The brainwashing facility had been disguised as a mental hospital but could be consistent with the Boronsky Clinic in Russia. Since Alex started having flashbacks from some years previous to 1999, that fits in with the Ryan Chamberlain murder spree timeline in the early to mid-1990s. Both Alex and Anna recovered their individual memories as far as who they were, but Anna still has a part of her life she doesn’t remember.

General Hospital viewers will also remember that the first time we heard about the Boronsky Clinic was when Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) sent Ava Jerome (Maura West) there for facial restoration after she was burned in a fire.

Ryan Chamberlain should also have burn scars, having supposedly “died” in a gas explosion in a funhouse. So it makes perfect sense for Kevin and Ryan to have been in the Boronsky Clinic. Ryan would have been in the burn clinic wing first to be physically restored, and since brainwashing obviously was part of the memory programming, that’s why none of the twins remembered anything about the study.

General Hospital – Ryan Communicated With Carly In Morse Code

Jason doesn’t remember being there either because of the brainwashing part of the protocol. Kevin could have found Ryan later, in a mental state similar to what Alex did to Anna and put him in Ferncliff until he could improve mentally. Remember, at first, when Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was in the next room, not only did he tap SOS to her in Morse Code, he also frequently screamed. When Kevin changed his medication is when Ryan improved mentally – sort of – and overpowered him and switched identities.

Exciting drama lies ahead on GH. Keep watching the show and check General Hospital spoilers frequently to see all the exciting conclusions, new mysteries, and twists and turns in the lives of the citizens of Port Charles.
