General Hospital & Days Of Our Lives Memorial Day Preemption ScheduleGeneral Hospital and Days of Our Lives will both be preempted on the Memorial Day holiday, Monday, May 27. The CBS soaps, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful will not be affected and will show new episodes.

For General Hospital viewers, the soap will rerun the special 56th Anniversary Show. The life of Dr. Gail Adamson Baldwin (Susan Brown) was celebrated and her friends and family were sent on a unique scavenger hunt around the hospital. It was designed to bring people together to remember the past and in some cases resolve the present.

In this episode, Denise Nickerson reprised her role as Dr. Lesley Webber and former rivals Dr. Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) and wound up together in what used to be the General Hospital Cafeteria which is now a locker room.

General Hospital News – Characters Re-live Their Pasts

There they found their envelopes, and they sniped at each other over things in the past. Lesley accusing Monica of having chased after all the men in the hospital in her younger years.

Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) went through all her Nurses’ Ballgowns from over the years. She found an old pocket square of the late Dr. Alan Quartermaine ‘s (Stuart Damon) which he had used in a performance and gave it to Monica.

Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) found their envelopes and recalled their losses. They also remarked there should have been a lot more wins and they should celebrate the wins they did have. Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) tried to figure out an old blueprint of General Hospital so he could find where his envelope was.

Days Of Our Lives News – French Open Also Airs June 6 And 7

Lucy tried to help Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) figure out his copy of the old blueprint and they reminisced about their past together. General Hospital viewers should have another trip down memory lane in this repeat episode.

Days of Our Lives viewers will have a day off in their soap-watching lives because NBC will be showing the French Open. Semi-finals for this event will also be shown on Thursday, June 6 and Friday, June 7. So Days of Our Lives fans will, unfortunately, lose even more days of their favorite soap.
