Viewers may recall that Roy’s mother Sylvia Goodwin (Stephanie Cole) has been rushed to the hospital after fall ill at the most inopportune moment. The news reached Roy during the commemoration of his wife, Hayley’s death anniversary.

Roy rushed to the hospital and finds out that his mom suffered a heart attack. Sadly, he didn’t make it on time as Sylvia has already passed away.

Corrie Spoilers – Roy Makes Shocking Discovery

As Roy catalogues over his mum’s things, he makes a shocking discovery about Sylvia. He learned that she had an affair, gave birth to a baby boy, and gave him away. Roy searched for several months trying to find his long lost brother.

Roy and his mother never had the perfect relationship and her death has left him a lot of unanswered questions. Now, he’s finally making a move as he finds the answers himself.

He found out that the name of his brother is Paul but when he finally had the chance to meet him and drop the bombshell that they’re related, he’ll discover that he’s terminally ill.

This storyline will break Roy’s heart. He’s been through a lot over the years. His wife passed due to a terminal illness while his mother recently died of a heart attack. The thought of discovering that he has more family after seemingly losing everyone he loves made him feel excited. However, learning that his sibling, too, is dying, will be hard for him to deal with.

Viewers may recognize Brown as he played minor roles in several popular TV series and movies. He appeared on “The Damned United” and worked with Michael Sheen and Timothy Spall in 2009. He also appeared on “Holby City,” “Hollyoaks,” and “Doctors.” He also had a stint on “A Confession” alongside Martin Freeman and Imelda Staunton.

The storyline is expected to kick off in November and viewers have to tune in to find out he will cope with the discovery.
