Breaking: Cynthia Watros Replaces Michelle Stafford As ‘General Hospital’ Nina Reeves

General Hospital spoilers tease that Michelle Stafford’s replacement has been named, who will take over the role of Nina Reeves. People Magazine’s website, people.com announced that Cynthia Watros, of “Lost” fame will be taking over.

A first airdate has not yet been announced, although other General Hospital spoilers tease it will be sometime after the Nurses’ Ball, which is set to air May 16th, according to James Patrick Stuart’s (Valentin Cassadine) tweets. More than likely Cynthia will take over the first part of June.

According to the Internet Movie Database, otherwise known as imdb.com, Cynthia has quite an acting resume, including as Crystal Watson in preproduction of “The Goose That Laid The Golden Egg”, as Olivia in “The 3”, Rebecca in “The Night Shift”, Elizabeth Wilson in “Finding Carter”, as well as Kelly Andrews in “The Young and The Restless”, Janice Malloy in “Warehouse 13”, Liz Connor in “Grey’s Anatomy”, Tracy Miller in “Desperate Housewives”, Sam Carr in “House”, Kellie Newmark in “The Drew Carey Show” in addition to Libby Wilson in “Lost”.

Other television credits are as Alison Guthrie in “Mars”, Nicky in “The Secret Life of The American Teenager”, Beth Hoyle in “Law and Order: Criminal Intent”, A.J. in ˆ and appearances on “CSI”, and “Criminal Minds”. Other soap opera credits include as Vicky Hudson McKinnon, “Another World” and Annie Dutton Banks / Dee, “The Guiding Light”,

Cynthia has also appeared in several TV movies and like her future TV partner James Patrick Stuart, has done voices for cartoons such as “The Family Guy” where she was the voice of a security system. Producer Frank Valentini has also tweeted about the impending replacement of Stafford by Watros, and welcomed her to General Hospital. So far, James Patrick Stuart hasn’t commented but General Hospital viewers are sure he will soon!

General Hospital viewers will find it interesting to see how she steps into the very hard to fill shoes of Nina Reeves, after following such a soaps superstar as Michelle Stafford. Nina’s wedding to Valentin may or may not be filmed by the time the switch takes place, as will Nina’s fake daughter reveal – may or may not!
