The Young and the Restless RECAP Wednesday, October 17: Billy Burns Summer – Ashley Announces She’s Leaving The Abbott’s

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Wednesday, October 17, 2018 reveals that over at Jabot, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) calls Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and leaves him a voicemail.

Jack Tries To Explain Paternity To Dina

At the Abbott mansion, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) reveals to his mother that he knows who his father is and says it is John Abbott. Dina then wonders if she knew him and then asks Jack to remind her again who Jack is. Billy Abbott appears and greets Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). Jack has something to show them.

Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) join them as Jack announces they will be having breakfast together. They all take their seats and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) appears and takes the seat that is left. She makes the comment that they can’t vote her out of the family.

Ashley Crashes The Abbott Family Breakfast

Jack feels they need to talk and clear the air. Ashley starts by wanting to talk about Jabot. Billy jumps in and says not after the hatchet job she did on his CEO position. Then he takes a stab at Kyle. Ashley apologizes for pulling Abby into her mess and for hurting Billy. Then says she will not apologize to Jack.

Billy leaves for Jabot. Dina cries because they are all angry. Kyle follows Billy and confronts him about sleeping with Summer Newman (Hunter King) and tells him he owes it to her to let her know where they stand.

Over at Crimson Lights on the patio, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is excited to be home and see Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). She gifts Tessa with a necklace. She spots Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) inside with Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) and wonders how close they have become.

Mariah Worries About Sharon Rebounding With Rey

Inside, Rey teaches Sharon how to interrogate a witness. Mariah appears so Sharon pulls her away to catch up. Mariah asks her about Rey. Sharon let’s her know they are just friends. Phyllis Summers arrives and Mariah wants to throw her out, but Sharon says she can handle the bitch. Sharon joins Phyllis out on the patio and informs her that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) payed the blackmailer $1.

Talk turns to Billy and Sharon calls Phyllis another toxic habit he needs to quit. Mariah goes over to Rey and questions him about his intentions with her mom. Sharon overhears Rey questioning Mariah about J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) and goes and pulls her away. Later, Mariah tells Tessa that it was weird how Sharon is meeting with Phyllis and how she pulled her away from talking to Rey. She wants to figure out what is going on.

Summer And Billy Meet Up

Summer Newman joins Billy Abbott over at Jabot. Summer is ready to be apart of Billy’s life. He tries to let her down easy, but she continues talking. Summer says they have to be a reason he called her that night and Billy says there is, but she won’t like it. Billy tells her he has no romantic interest in her. Phyllis appears and Billy continues that he was just about to tell Summer the reason he slept with her was to get back at Phyllis.

At the Athletic Club bar, Kyle Abbott lays into Ashley Abbott about losing control. Kyle snarks that she would’ve got away with it if she had paid Andrew (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) out of her own pockets. He regrets helping her and turning on Billy Abbott.

Ashley Announces She’s Leaving The Abbott’s

Back at the Abbott mansion, Ashley Abbott tells Jack Abbott, Traci Abbott, and Abby Newman that she is moving out. And that’s a wrap. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs.
