General Hospital spoilers indicate that fans will soon see Janet Hubert make her debut as Yvonne in Port Charles in the coming weeks. But apparently, the actress has a very special connection to the highly-rated ABC soap. Here’s what you need to know.
Janet, who is best known for her role as Aunt Viv from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, will be playing Mike’s (Max Gail) new love interest Yvonne. But it turns out that Yvonne will have another surprising connection to the second character in Port Charles. The actress will be reuniting with Vernee Watson (Stella), who once played Vyola ‘Vy’ Smith on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. She played Vivian’s older sister and Will’s mother on the popular 90’s sitcom!
Of course, this isn’t the first time that Janet has worked in the daytime television world. She also played Lisa, Evangeline’s mom on One Life to Live several years ago.

Now, as far as what fans can expect from Yvonne remains to be seen. All we know is that she will definitely shake things up for the Corinthos family, as they have been forced to keep a very close eye on Mike in the last several weeks. Janet will be making her debut on General Hospital during the Friday, December 7 episode. It’s without a doubt that viewers can’t wait to see what’s in store for Mike and Yvonne’s romance. Here’s hoping that her guest appearance will turn into a recurring role for Janet!
