Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Jarlena’s Wedding Rocked By Shocking Returns

“Days of Our Lives” this coming week will feature a huge event as John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) are finally getting married. However, while it would have been ideal to have a perfect ceremony and celebration, some surprising returns and shockers will rock Jarlena’s big moment. Head writer Ron Carlivati previews what’s coming down.

John and Marlena’s wedding will take place on August 22, which is the couple’s original anniversary back in 1986. Still, the week will be eventful for “Days of Our Lives.”

Speaking with Soap Opera Digest, Carlivati, who took over as head writer in June last year, shared how this is the right moment to marry the couple. Per Soaps.com, Carlivati shared that he was surprised to learn that John and Marlena were not yet married. But he did not want to just threw it on the spot, so they had to wait for the perfect timing to make it a huge soap event.

In fact, Carlivati teases that there’s going to be a lot of emotions—fun, romance, suspense, danger—you name it. “We wanted to give the audience everything, so there will be total chaos at this wedding and all hell will break loose,” Ron said.

For starter, Susan (Stacy Haiduk) crashes Marlena’s bachelorette party and reads tarot cards for everyone. Marlena becomes upset as she also had a nightmare about her dream wedding. The morning of Jarlena’s wedding, Susan also brought a grim news for Marlena, telling her that Kristen (Eileen Davidson) is alive. Marlena wants to believe it was just Susan’s hallucinations.

Meanwhile, Sami (Alison Sweeney) makes a surprise appearance at the wedding. She arrives disheveled, with a gun in her hand, and muttering nonsense words—she is clearly not in her mind. “Days of Our Lives” also reveal that she will come face to face with Kristen DiMera (recast). “She is out there and she will be addressed at this wedding,” Carlivati dishes. Aside from Sami and Kristen, a man with a bandage in his face also crashes the wedding.
