Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Friday, August 17, 2018, reveals, Sonny (Freddie Smith) is reliving Leo’s (Greg Rikaart) death again. Adrienne (Judy Evans) comes in and startles Sonny.
Sonny Doesn’t Want It To Be Over
Adrienne says Sonny is thinking about Leo. Adrienne worries about Bonnie (Judy Evans) too. Sonny asks if Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) made progress. Adrienne says not yet, but they believe he will. Adrienne tells Sonny Steve wants to have a dinner next week.
Sonny keeps looking at the phone. Sonny says he’s waiting for Will (Chandler Massey) to set up a time to see Ari (Sydney and Harper Udell). Adrienne and Sonny discuss Will’s memory. Sonny says Will probably won’t regain his memory.
Sonny believes he has no chance with Will. Sonny talks about spending time with Will. Will’s heart is with Paul (Christopher Sean). Adrienne wants Sonny to tell Will how he feels. Sonny says it’s not fair to keep getting in Will and Paul’s relationship. Sonny suggests spending some time alone. Adrienne tells Sonny not to give up on Will.
Will tells Sonny Kate (Lauren Koslow) is paying off Ted (Gilles Marini). Sonny and Will argue over paying Kate. Sonny tells Will about a Chinese restaurant scene. Will and Sonny agree both are stubborn. Will and Sonny will always be grateful for the other. Will says their partnership is over. Sonny asks what if he doesn’t want it to be.
Kayla Continues To Lie To Steve
Days of Our Lives Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) asks Steve what he’s doing. Steve asks Kayla why she’s spying on Kate. Kayla thought she got rid of those photos. Steve knows Kayla is hiding something from him. Steve begs Kayla to be honest.
Steve wants an explanation about the pictures. Kayla keeps lying to him. Steve gets a call and has to leave. Steve loves Kayla and wants her to be ok. Kayla loves him too. Kayla is deleting more pictures. Marlena (Deidre Hall) comes in, Kayla tells her about Stefan’s (Tyler Christopher) threat.

Kayla can’t let Stefan take Steve’s sight. Kayla has to play this until she can get rid of Stefan. Kayla tells Marlena that Steve knows she’s lying. Kayla wonders how to keep Steve from finding out. Marlena wants this wedding to be perfect.
Marlena says Kayla has all the right answers. Kayla tells Marlena that Steve will go after Stefan. Stefan will destroy the eye. Kayla says being honest will destroy her marriage. Kayla is going to ask Steve to trust her. Steve call Adrienne, he has Bonnie.
Ted Tells Hope To Stop Harassing Ben
Days of Our Lives Ted calls and threatens Kate. Ted is at the police station. Ted demands the arson case be dropped. Hope (Kristian Alfonso) tells Ted they aren’t harassing Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). Hope tells Ted she closed the case if Ben would leave town. Ted spoke to Ben this morning, he’s not leaving town. Hope calls the homeless shelters looking for Ben.
Claire Tries To Play Ben
Days of Our Lives Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) votes to let Ben stay at the loft. Ciara thanks Claire for being reasonable. Tripp (Lucas Adams) asks how she can agree to let a serial killer live there. Tripp asks how Claire could agree to this.
Claire tells Tripp Marlena says he’s sane. Tripp says it’s not happening. Tripp will not agree to Ben staying there. Ciara tells Tripp they voted and Ben stays. Tripp says this isn’t over. Tripp asks about Shaun and Belle, as well as Hope. Tripp and Ciara step outside leaving Claire with Ben. Ben and Claire talk about her hitting him in the head.
Ben asks if there is another reason Claire voted for him. Ben wonder’s if there is something in it for Claire. Ciara owes Ben, this was the right thing to do. Tripp asks Ciara what this means for them. Ciara doesn’t see how Ben can affect her and Tripp’s relationship.
Tripp accuses Ciara of having feelings for Ben. Ben ask Claire about her feelings for Tripp. Claire admits to having feelings for Tripp. Claire questions if Ben will respect Tripp and Ciara’s relationship. Ben tells Claire he and Ciara are just friends.
Claire insinuates Ciara has feelings for Ben too. Claire and Tripp see Ciara’s feelings. Ben tells Claire they are both wrong. Claire ask’s what if Ben and Ciara could be together. Ciara and Tripp interrupt. Claire tells them she and Ben were getting to know each other. Tripp will keep watching Ben but he can stay. Hope comes in behind Tripp and asks what, he can live here?
Kate Vows To Take Care Of Ted
Days of Our Lives Will shows up at Kate’s. Kate tells Will she has to pay Ted off. Ted is holding all the cards. Kate will take care of it. Kate tells Will she believes him. Will did the right thing coming to Kate. Will is proud of Kate for not burning Ted’s things. Kate says Will has better tastes in guys.
Will tells Kate that Paul knows about the blackmail. Kate asks if Paul has a reason to worry about Sonny. Kate asks about spending time with Sonny. Will says he and Sonny have a connection. Will professes he loves Paul. Kate is going to contact the bank and pay Ted.
Kate tells Will she will do anything to keep him safe. Will asks what if Ted doesn’t back down. Kate vows Ted will never bother Will again. Ted arrives at Kate’s and asks about his money. Kate tells Ted they need to get some things straight. Kate warns Ted away from Will. Kate tells Ted she put his stuff in the dumpster. Ted reaches for the money, Kate stops him. Kate opens the briefcase and pulls a gun on Ted.
