The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Ashley Acts Bravely – Graham Doesn’t Deserve Benefit of the Doubt

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) has come a long way on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She admitted that to Jack (Peter Bergman) a handful of weeks ago. That’s why her brave act in Graham’s (Max Shippee) suite makes perfect sense.

Well, it wasn’t actually Graham’s suite at the Genoa City Athletic Club. As Dina (Marla Adams) said, she paid for it. Giving Ashley the key card was a very soapy plot point, as without that having occurred, information about an expensive residence may never have been known.

Jack was as intrigued as Ashley was when he read Graham’s dossier. Neil (Kristoff St. John) broke confidentiality rules in so doing, which was surely noticed by viewers who’ve been similarly affected in their own work lives. Again, that was another moment where this storyline was advanced.

Seasoned Y&R fans see a crescendo where Dina’s mystery man is concerned. Ashley’s latest attempt to uncover whatever it is Graham is hiding followed very direct questioning that she and her brother subjected Dina to.

It’s understandable that Dina reacts defensively when her children grill her. They’re questioning her judgment, which she prides herself on at this stage of life.

It could be that Graham’s actor’s background is simply a red herring. He may not be tapping into whatever level of talent exists and isn’t playing a part right now. It’s possible that he actually has no family, that Dina has been like a mother to him and that he’s never had any ill intentions toward her.

The innocent rarely exist within the daytime world. So how likely is it that Graham is just some poor soul who truly cares about Dina and is being wrongly harassed by her two nosy children?

Catching Ashley in his suite raises the stakes. If Graham is a bad actor, in a moral sense, then he’s sensing the walls are being pushed in by the referenced sister-brother duo. That makes him dangerous, which could put Dina’s longevity on this earth in question.
