Time travelers will love the latest Emmerdale stunt. In the coming days, spoilers tease that the popular soap will debut an entire episode dedicated to solving the, “Who killed Emma?” mystery. But it won’t be happening in real time!
Emmerdale actors Michael Parr and Anthony Quinlan broke the news this week that the sudser will treat viewers to a full flashback episode with a conclusion that solves ‘Who killed Emma?’ mystery.
Parr, who plays Emma’s son Ross, and Quinlan, who plays Emma’s son Pete, revealed the sensational details on the television show Loose Women.
Their reveal comes on the heels of news about the show planning to do a bit of experimental storytelling over the next few weeks, involving flashbacks with the current-time action in the village.
According to Anthony the, “Who Killed Emma,” epi, “will be aired in a few weeks’ time … This is the first snippet on Friday and things start kicking off from there.”
Parr added that fans can expect a wild ride once the storyline arc begins: “… it really starts to get complicated. There’s lots of curveballs…”
Meanwhile, a show spokesperson told Digital Spy that the special episode will center around flashbacks, but be set in the present with past actions interjected.
The show’s yet-to-air bonfire episode will confirm that the seven official murder suspects are: Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), Pete Barton, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), Ross Barton, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb), and Adam Barton (Adam Thomas).
Loyal fans may remember the first “time-travel” episode that Emmerdale presented. It happened in 2015 and was used to great effect to reveal the culprit who shot Robert Sugden. At this rate, fans are going to get spoiled and demand special episodes on a regular basis!
