Dancing With The Stars: Vanessa Lachey Suffers Injury

Dancing With The Stars: Vanessa Lachey Suffers InjuryDancing with the Stars spoilers reveals that Vanessa Lachey suffered a painful injury over the weekend. She may be enjoying competing on DWTS with her partner, Maskim Chmerkovskiy, but her toe injury looked very painful. Lachey took her shoe off and cried as her toe was covered in blood.

Painful Injury

People reported that Lachey was seen dancing with her pro partner when she suddenly bends over in pain.  Maskim noted he knew right away that she was hurt pretty bad.  “That is going to be so painful,” Chmerkovskiy tells Lachey. “That hurts my soul.”

Vanessa sat on the floor crying as Chmerkovskiy wrapped her foot in a bandage.

The duo is in the middle of a stressful second week of the competition.  Usually, the dancers do not have to learn more than one dance per week until the end of the season, but this week, they will have to master two dances for Monday and Tuesday’s shows.

Vanessa and Maskim Did Well On Premiere Night

The pairs are coming off a great premiere night where Lachey was affectionately called “yummy mummy” by Bruno Toniolo after her cha-cha with Chmerkovskiy last week.

“Dance is fun, and that’s what I came here to do. And I’m prepared physically and mentally because I have the best coach,” Lachey said after their performance Monday. “I think we’ve set a bar and now we have to keep that bar.”

Lachey, 36, and Chmerkovskiy, 37, scored 21 out of 30 points, trailing behind Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold who earned 22 points and Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas who also earned 22 points. Even with her painful injury to her foot, the mom of three is beating her husband, Nick Lachey and Peta Murgatroyd—who scored 18 points last week.
