Coronation Street Spoilers: Nicola's Pregnancy Infuriates Pat PhelanNicola Rubenstein (Nicola Thorp) is a relatively new face on the cobbles but her entrance has been full of drama. With her long-lost father being Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) the resident bad guy her return caused quite the upset.

But things are about to escalate even further as Nicola will tell her dad about the baby she is carrying. Nicola thinks this will be happy news, telling him he will be a grandfather but Pat is far from happy about it. The child was conceived with Gary Windass (Mikey North), a regrettable one night stand. Gary is not a single man and will not risk his current relationship to help raise the child.

This leads to Nicola questioning if she should keep the baby. News that Pat is very unhappy with. His views on abortion appear to be conservative and he is furious at his daughter for thinking about this option.

As we all know Phelan is a murderer so his views on abortion are somewhat hypocritical, but his daughter does not know this and will be deeply hurt by Pat’s opinions. But the thought of being a single young mother who will have to hide the father’s identity is not the life the young women wishes to have. There are rumours that Pat’s despicable past will come out during the soaps dramatic Autumn. This will likely force Nicola away from her new-found father. But will she keep the baby?

With Gary off to Ukraine and out of the way she must make the decision on her own. But how long can it remain a secret before the father is found out? It looks like another relationship may be in jeopardy due to the small pitter patter of feet.
