‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wed, October 12: Hilary Reels Over Crisis – Mariah Visits Patty, Almost Bumps Into Paul – Jill Rejects Billy’s Offer

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, October 12, tease that Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will share some news that concerns Nick (Joshua Morrow). At Crimson Lights, Faith fills Nick in on the hang-up calls that Sharon (Sharon Case) has been receiving. She hints that Sharon has been upset about them.

At the police station, Dylan (Steve Burton) isn’t interested in Paul’s (Doug Davidson) latest assignment. Paul needs his son to attend a trial out of town, but Dylan won’t want to leave Sharon. He brings up the phone calls and they bicker. Paul finally suggests that he can call for some extra security. He offers to pay Sharon a visit, too.

Meanwhile, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) encourages Sharon to come clean about Sully. Sharon knows Dylan would leave her and Sully could be ripped from her life. She refuses to accept that telling the truth is the only way to eliminate Patty’s (Stacy Haiduk) threat. Sharon gives Mariah updates on her alternate plan to get Patty transferred.

Mariah isn’t sure that Sharon can handle this fast enough. Sharon maintains that it can be done. They just need Patty to believe that she’s going to escape. If Patty buys it, they can convince her to put on a charade at the facility to score the transfer. Patty can pretend to be getting worse and that will work in their favor. No one will believe Patty’s baby story.

Mariah suggests that she should be the one to put their plot in motion. After she heads off to talk to Patty, Nick shows up with Faith. Dylan isn’t far behind them. He asks Nick if he’d mind staying with Sharon while he’s away for work. Nick is fine with it and he chats with Faith while Sharon says goodbye to Dylan. He notes that Paul plans on dropping by after he visits Patty.

At GC Buzz headquarters, Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) face backlash for not using the footage of the bar brawl. An employee named George (George Gray) thinks it was a mistake and they paid in the ratings. He bails on GC Buzz in favor of a job at a game show.

Devon and Hilary take a look at some of the reviews of their latest interview. Hilary is stunned and humiliated when she realizes that their viewers hated it. She reads more comments and determines that nobody likes her or what they’re doing to GC Buzz. Devon maintains that their less scandalous format is appropriate.

At home, Cane (Daniel Goddard) is fed up with Billy (Jason Thompson) and his reckless behavior. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) isn’t exactly a model employee either. She’s always distracted by something other than work. Nevertheless, Cane feels the need to stick with it and Lily (Christel Khalil) offers her support.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers say Billy will announce that he’s quitting. At Brash and Sassy, Jill (Jess Walton) rejects Billy’s resignation. He thinks he’s a liability, but Jill wants her son on board. They learn that the interview went well. Cane’s professionalism and the classy approach at GC Buzz saved them.

Billy suggests that Cane should be in charge, but Jill likes the current arrangement. She threatens to sue if Billy doesn’t fulfill his contract obligations. Cane arrives and chats with Jill privately. He warns that Billy poses a threat to the company.

Jill reveals that Billy wanted to quit, but she wouldn’t let him. She reminds Cane that she owns Brash and Sassy, so they all need to play by her rules. Later, Billy gives Cane props for saving the day. They get back to work and things go smoothly.

At Crimson Lights, Lily spots Jill and mentions that Cane is feeling discouraged. He just doesn’t think he’s appreciated. Jill is surprised to hear it. She argues that Cane is a perfect team player. Lily wants Jill to give him some credit and make him feel valued at the company.

At Patty’s facility, Paul enters her room to find her painting. Patty ignores Paul and he eventually decides to leave. Just as he’s about to go, Patty says his name. At the entrance, Mariah appears and heads toward security.

Mariah will face a close call, but Y&R rumors hint that she might be able to wiggle out of this jam. We’ll keep you posted as more details emerge. Stick with the CBS soap to see the tense moments ahead.
