‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Paul’s Faith In Dylan Restored – Adam’s Case Reopened

'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Paul's Faith In Dylan Restored – Adam's Case Reopened

Paul (Doug Davidson) overreacted recently on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He suspended his son, Dylan (Steve Burton), unjustly. However, after Kevin’s (Greg Rikaart) digital persistence paid off, the detective in question was reinstated. Convenient evidence, planted via Victor’s (Eric Braeden) infinite reach, subsequently served to reopen Adam’s closed case.

Many fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ would suspect Victor’s role in this unusual development if they didn’t already know that he was orchestrating Adam’s coming exoneration. The Genoa City police chief is no dummy either. But, linking the ‘Moustache’ to this setup will surely be tough, if not impossible.

Bethany (Chrishell Stause) became Victor’s picked patsy in this instance, as Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) guessed when she passed her in the elevator at Newman Towers. He rightly calculated that the current Athletic Club bartender would jump at the chance to earn a bag full of money in return for pretending to be the mystery woman he met with while incarcerated in Walworth State Prison. To her credit, she two-upped him before their final agreement was completed on ‘The Young and the Restless’.

Brittany, as Jill (Jess Walton) would say, agreed to assume a new identity and leave the country, but not for the one million dollar cash reward Victor originally offered. She told Victor that three million would seal the deal. He appreciated Bethany’s guile, somehow had the extra bills available in his office suite’s vault and told her to take the first flight out of town to whatever country didn’t have an extradition treaty with the United States.

Meanwhile, Kevin’s discovery of video evidence, which revealed Bethany unlocking a bus terminal locker and taking the monied duffel bag, led to Paul chasing the new lead himself. Dylan followed through on the update Kevin provided and made a beeline to the popular locker as well. Paul’s unspoken acknowledgment, upon seeing his son at that location, led to Dylan receiving his badge and weapon back later that day. Both men subsequently discovered very convenient evidence inside the motel room where Bethany was believed to have been living.

Of course, viewers of ‘The Young and the Restless’ knew that one of Victor’s henchmen had prepped the setting where Bethany’s modest material possessions, including a set of wigs, would be found. Discovering Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) real diary pages behind a light switch plate also gave the GCPD crucial evidence Adam has been impatiently waiting for inside his cage.
