‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nick Swayed By Sharon’s Behavior – Chelsea is a Tattletale

'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Nick Swayed By Sharon's Behavior – Chelsea is a TattletaleNick (Joshua Morrow) was feeling compassionate for his brother Dylan’s (Steve Burton) plight on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) plea got through to her second-born son earlier in the episode. But a revelation about what evil Sharon (Sharon Case) recently did sharply shifted Nick’s attitude turned.

Okay, Sharon isn’t evil. And Sharon defenders can retract their claws, as the so-called ‘Shaters’ are walking on higher ground in this particular storyline.

However, all reasonable minds must acknowledge that Case’s character has put herself behind the eight ball big time. That’s why the ill-timed hug-fest Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) drew Sharon into at the penthouse the other day looks far worse in retrospect than it really was.

Chloe and Sharon seem to share some type of impulsive gene. Maybe one day Y&R will decide that these two ladies are long lost cousins.

Yes, Esther’s (Kate Linder) second cousin was Sharon’s mom. Umm, that might work. Viewers shouldn’t discount this theory, as daytime drama often asks fans to suspend disbelief.

Getting back to fictional reality – Victor (Eric Braeden) bad-mouthed Sharon, who he was briefly and ridiculously married to years ago. Nick took his dad’s comments in stride at the Genoa City Athletic Club. Nikki arrived and asked her second-born son to consider his brother’s feelings before the visitation hearing began. Nick and Dylan are both good-hearted people, which means that they take after their mother.

Chelsea can’t be fully scorned, or praised for telling Nick what she knew about Sharon’s unauthorized visit with his son the other day. But her comments must be balanced against the far deeper secret she continues to withhold; Adam (formerly played by Justin Hartley) confirmed through Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) cryptic letter that he was Christian’s (Jamie and Alister Tobias) biological father.

One other point must be made about the surviving half of ‘Chadam’ as well. Chelsea’s admission to Nick seemed more like a high school girl fighting for her man than the choice of a mature adult. With that parting shot, soap opera class is dismissed for today.
