‘The Young and the Restless’ alum Scott Elrod [Ex-Joe Clarke] is very happy today. Congratulations to him on the birth of his first child. Scott welcomed his newborn son yesterday and named him Easton Thomas Elrod. Scott was so excited he shared an image of his baby boy on Instagram and captioned it “Easton Thomas Elrod blessed us yesterday at 7:17pm PST, weighing in at 7lbs 14 oz and 21 inch long. My @vanessa_vazarthas just given me the greatest gift of all time… Can’t wait for a lifetime of adventure this little man is going to give us. #blessed”

Several congratulatory responses have been given to Elrod’s post which was also posted on his official Twitter page. What great news it is to welcome your first child, we are very happy for Scott and his fiancée Vanessa Vazart. The news of them expecting their first child broke in December, 2015. Many of fans have been following the pregnancy and awaiting the announcement of the birth which came today.
Elrod is known to ‘The Young and the Restless’ viewers for playing the role of Joe Clarke from 2014 – 2015. Elrod’s character was well received and was becoming popular topic for Y&R viewers; however he exited the series not long after his number one screen partner Jessica Collins also exited the role of Avery Bailey Clarke. He is also known to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ fans as Dr. Major Will Thorpe for which he played the role in a number of episodes. He also made an appearance in the popular primetime series ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ as Gideon Holt. Congratulations once again to Scott and Vanessa.

If Y&R writers had not made his character such a cruel character not paired him with Ms Goody to Shoes Lily, Joe would be good for Vicky, n there would have been no need right away to bring on another Billy. It would give them a chance to find a different actor.
