Soap Opera Weekly Ratings October 17-21: ‘DOOL’ Enjoys Ratings Increase – ‘Y&R’ ‘B&B’ ‘GH’ Ratings All DownThe soap opera ratings for the week of October 17-21 have been reported by Soap Opera Network. ‘The Bold and The Beautiful’ lost total viewers and women 18-49, as did ‘The Young and the Restless’ and ‘General Hospital.’  Ratings were up for ‘Days of Our Lives’ were up slightly for total viewers and the daytime drama enjoyed a nice bump in the ratings for women viewers 18-49.

Days of Our Lives

‘DOOL’ ratings for the week of October 17-21 total viewer ratings were up after by 1,000 total viewers.  The daytime drama had 2,209,000 watching. ‘Days of Our Lives’ ratings with women 18-49 were also up. A total of 390,000 viewers from this demographic tuned in. This represents a gain of 12,000 in this category.

General Hospital

‘GH’ ratings were down for the third straight week with total viewers the week of October 17 through October 21. With 2,607,000 turned in that’s a loss of 84,000 viewers in this category. For the second straight week ‘GH’ lost viewers in the women 18-49 demographic, ‘GH’ lost 21,000 viewers with 433,000 tuned in.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Soap Opera Network reports decrease in ratings for ‘B&B’ across the board for the week of October 17-21. With 3,707,000 total viewers tuned in, ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ lost 64,000 total viewers.  Women 18-49 tuned out ‘B&B’ with 488,000 watching, a loss of 22,000 viewers in this demographic.

The Young and the Restless

‘Y&R’ ratings for October 17-21 were down in the most important demographics. With 4,474,000 total viewers, ‘The Young and the Restless’ lost 37,000 viewers. The soap opera also dipped in the ratings for women 18-49 with 581,000 tuned in. That’s a loss of 17,000 from the previous week.

November sweeps are set to begin and all four soap operas have big plans and hot storylines. Get ready to tune in and see the fireworks on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful,’ ‘The Young and the Restless,’ ‘General Hospital’ and ‘Days of Our Lives.’ Secrets will be revealed and lives will be changed forever.
