'General Hospital' News: ESPN Correspondent Stephen Smith Appearing On 'GH'ESPN news correspondent Stephen A. Smith is a happy man today as one of his dreams has come true. For so long Smith has acknowledged Sonny Corinthos as his favorite daytime character of all time. News broke today teasing that Smith is set for a guest appearance in an upcoming episode of ‘General Hospital’.

Today, Maurice Benard (Sonny) filled with joy, took to twitter sharing a video of himself and Smith on the set of GH. Benard shared “I had the best time working with @stephenasmith today. He’s truly a natural. Not Denzel yet, but getting there.” In the 20 seconds video he posted, he and Stephen were discussing the opportunity to work together. Benard ask Smith how excited he was to be on the show in which Smith responded he is excited but “nervous as hell.”

Smith went further to say he is elated to be with his favorite show and the star of show (Benard). He stated that he doesn’t want to disappoint Benard, the video ended by Benard encouraging Smith that he will be the greatest. Many of the fans responded with excitement to see the upcoming episode.

Smith seems to be having the time of his life on the General Hospital set. Since the news broke this morning of his upcoming cameo appearance, he has posted a couple pictures on Twitter of him on the set. One of the pictures he posted was of him standing besides Laura Wright (Carly), this photo he captioned: Damn, I’m a lucky man. On the set of @GeneralHospital right now and look who decided to take a pic with me?#Haaaaa!!” GH newcomer Matt Cohen (Griffin) also shared a picture of himself standing besides Smith sharing that they were both on the set of the show.
