Soap fan favorite Lynn Herring will be making a return to ‘General Hospital’ as Lucy Coe. This was announced a few weeks back, in regards to this, Herring spoke with Soap Opera Digest about her return.
In the latest issue of the magazine Herring shared how much GH meant to her. Continuing in the discussion she mentioned how elated she was to have the opportunity to return to the ABC sudser.
Here is what Lynn had to say, “I hadn’t realized how much I missed GH until they booked the first show and I got really sentimental and emotional.” She then took a walk down memory lane telling SOD, “In March, 30 years ago, I got the job and Lucy aired for the first time [on] April 11, 1986. What an amazing gift that was and what a life GH has given me. So to come back on that anniversary is so sweet!”
Herring is back on her anniversary filming scenes for the well anticipated Nurses’ Ball. According to the article in the SOD magazine Herring went back to GH set for work on April 13th. This was exactly two days after celebrating her GH milestone.
Lucy Coe is always a fun character to watch, therefore we are happy for her return. There is no further details indicating how long Herring’s return will last for but as far as we know she is still on recurring with the show. This means it will possibly be short term, but for however long, we can’t wait to see her scenes.
With spoilers teasing a romance between her former lover Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and Laura (Genie Francis), it would be good to see Lucy’s reaction. And with Scott (Kin Shriner) being a single man, maybe and just maybe she could reconnect with him.
