‘Days of Our Lives’ episodes next week promise to be good! The new material from the co-head writing team of Ryan Quan and Dena Higley begins to air next week. First off a couple returning were teased and that is the return of Paul Telfer as Xander Cook, James Read as Clyde and George DelHoyo as Orpheus. All three characters escape from prison to exact revenge on the people in Salem who they conclude have wronged them.
In the new issue of the Soap Opera Digest magazine DelHoyo speaks of what it was like coming back to a role he hasn’t played since 1987. His character, Orpheus was presumed dead when last seen almost three decades ago but now he returns alive. DelHoyo shared with SOD that getting a call from ‘Days of Our Lives’ was something he was not expecting.
He highlights that getting a call back “was one of the most unexpected calls that I can ever remember getting.” Further adding “My agent called and asked ‘are you sitting down?’ I said, ‘No, but tell me what it is you want. ‘He told, me ‘Days of Our Lives called and they would Orpheus to come back. Would you be interested in doing it?’ He further questioned if it was the dead character from the 80’s in which his agent revealed the show had a way around that.
Delhoyo was happy to be asked back, he noted that it sounded like a fantastic idea to be back after so long, especially to do it again with some of the same people he worked with before. Look out for his onscreen return next week along with the returns of Telfer and Read. They returns are sure to rock the lives of the people in Salem.
