'The Young And The Restless' Star Cady McClain’s Short Film "The World Of Fuh" Selected To Show At LA Indie Film Fest

Cady McClain joined CBS’s soap opera “The Young and the Restless” in 2014 as Kelly Andrews and has been blowing Y&R fans away with her portrayal of the possibly certifiably insane character. But, did you know that when Cady McClain isn’t wreaking havoc in Genoa City and obsessing over Jack Abbott and tormenting Phyllis Summers – she is an aspiring movie director? Cady McClain has actually been working on directing two short films recently, and one of them has been selected to air in coveted timeslots during the LA Indie Film Fest this year.

According to Cady McClain’s official website, her short film “The World Of Fuh” was just accepted in to the LA Indie Film Fest in Hollywood and will make its festival debut on March 7th 2015. If you are in the Los Angeles area you can purchase tickets to the screening to check out Cady’s latest work – and there will even be a question and answer panel afterwards where with the Y&R star about her new indie film and directorial journey.

“The World of Fuh” is actually one of two short films that Cady McClain has been working on, she also recently completed “Flip Fantasia.” According to Cady’s official website, she completely funded the short films herself with money she earned from starring as Kelly Andrews on “The Young and the Restless.” In a blog Cady dished on her short films, “Both films are made with a surrealist viewpoint, and filled with symbolism. The theory behind this is that reality is sometimes too hard to take. It can be too hard to talk about death, for example, if death is something that you’ve experienced first hand.”

If you are interested in attending a screening of “The World of Fuh” at LA Indie Film Fest on Saturday March 7th 2015, and supporting Y&R’s Cady McClain, you can purchase tickets to the event here: LA Indie Film Fest.
