‘Y&R’ Spoilers Weekly Update: Matt Returns, Damage Control, Cane Arrested

The Young and the Restless spoilers are in for the week of May 4, 2026. Expect Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) to sneak back into town. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) try to control the damage.

Plus, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) gets arrested. Keep reading to find out what is coming up in the CBS soap opera.

Sharon Newman’s Interrogation

Let’s kick off this post with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun). The lady claims to not remember much about what happened with Matt.

What Sienna does tell Sharon is that she opened up her eyes, and Matt was dead. Of course, fans know that Sienna is lying through her teeth, but we aren’t quite sure why.

No matter what, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) can feel in her gut that Matt is still out there. From Noah Newman’s (Lucas Adams) facial expression, he’s suspicious too.

Matt Clark Returns

Speaking of Matt, the dead man comes back to Genoa City. It’s not clear what he plans to do next. However, we know the entire Newman family is in trouble. Sienna lying about Matt being dead certainly won’t make matters any better!

Nick Newman’s Addiction

The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of  May 4 reveal that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) acted like he knew he needed help. The man was even forced to confess the truth to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). 

However, later in the week, Nick tells a secret to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Then, Nick’s odd behavior will end up getting Phyllis’ attention.

What Else to Expect

As for what else to expect, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) gloats to Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) about her wrecked marriage.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) attempts to set firm boundaries with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) questions Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about the fake kidnapping. Meanwhile, Michael and Phyllis work together to do damage control.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) faces off with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Meanwhile, Cane is arrested.

Even though Cane thinks Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) can get him out on bail, he’s also supposed to save Malcolm Winters’ (Shemar Moore) life, so the arrest will complicate things.

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) pries information from Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) about Riza Thomson (Tina Casciani). Also, Claire tries to help Holden Novak (Nathan Owens).
