General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, October 9 tease Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) takes up the fight, while Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) lays out her battle plan.
Plus, at Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) house, Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) stands by his decision.
Key Takeaways
- Chase joins Willow’s fight
- Monet reveals her battle plan
- Stella encourages Portia about Des
- Sidwell hints at changing plans
- Gio stands firm against Sonny

Chase’s Fight
At the gatehouse with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Britt Westbourne, (Kelly Thiebaud) Chase takes up the fight! He tells Willow she has to let him help her fight back.
After Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) explosive article, Chase will likely tell Willow to file a defamation suit-the headline reading that Willow drugged her husband with a paralytic drug for months!
Of course, Willow denies it-even though most likely the damaging information came from one, if not two, very reliable sources.
It seems like Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) threw caution to the wind when he spilled the tea about the paralytic!

Monet’s Battle Plan
In the meantime, Monet is in Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) hospital room after dropping the bombshell that she’s Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) sister.
Curtis has accepted her legal services-as has Chase-and she tells Curtis Jordan has no idea what she’s capable of!
However, Jordan most likely has a pretty good idea-or the two of them wouldn’t be estranged.
It’s interesting that Monet waited to reveal her relationship to Jordan until she left for Baden-Baden-just might what she have up her sleeves?

Stella Encourages Portia
In the meantime, Stella Henry (Verneé Watson) encourages Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and tells her what Desmond “Des” Ashford (Yireh Aviah Lafond) needs right now is his family!
Portia was able to bring him for a prison visit with Curtis not long before Curtis was beaten within an inch of his life and brought into the hospital.
But Stella is obviously thinking more about what the baby needs, than his father.
On the other hand, Stella and Marshall Ashford, (Robert Gossett) if he’s home, are probably anxious to fuss over the little one as well. They probably need Des as much as Des needs them!

Isaiah Checks In On Sidwell
Back at the hospital, Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) is checking in on Sidwell, who says, “As you know, plans can change”.
Isaiah doesn’t exactly look happy with what his old enemy is telling him, and most likely, he’s suspicious.
What might Sidwell be talking about-he’s still in the hospital recovering from a beating and a heart attack.
Might Sidwell be planning some kind of escape when he’s ready to return to Pentonville?

Gio’s Decision
Elsewhere, at Sonny’s house, Sonny doesn’t look pleased with Gio’s decision either-he tells Sonny this is his decision, and he stands by it.
Gio has decided he cannot live with Sonny anymore, and he and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) are looking for apartments to move in together.
Gio has a stern and decisive look on his face as he tells Sonny his decision.
Although Sonny will tell him something reassuring, Gio’s not going to change his mind. Sonny will be hurt that even Gio has seemingly turned his back on him.
Editor’s Take
Chase may think he’s helping Willow fight back, but there’s one rather big problem — she actually did drug Drew. Filing a lawsuit when you have that kind of secret buried in your past sounds like a spectacular way to make an already bad situation even worse.
What do you think? Is Chase helping Willow — or setting her up for an even bigger fall? Let’s discuss it in the comments below!
